Who you are
- Minimum of 5 years of full cycle Commercial recruiting experience with a focus on passive candidate generation
- Passionate about sourcing, recruiting, and closing talent in a competitive market
- Proven track record of building pipelines and managing unique multi-channel search strategies
- High level of self-motivation; you’re someone who is able to define structure and prioritize
- High personal integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Experience: We have a preference for candidates with experience in the Bay Area
What the job involves
- Adyen is looking for an eager Commercial Recruiter to join the Global HR Team on a contract basis to further support the international growth of the company
- As a Commercial Recruiter at Adyen in San Francisco, you will be based in one of the fastest growing offices and focus on the day-to-day recruitment process for Commercial vacancies in our North America offices
- Working closely with the Global HR Team, you will help build out the North America recruiting function by finding, selecting, and hiring the talented workforce of Adyen

- Drive full cycle recruitment on multiple roles, across different teams (Marketing, Operations, Account Management, etc.)
- Lead sourcing efforts across your pipelines and be creative about new ways of finding talent
- Create and foster positive candidate experience while screening and engaging talent that fits with the Adyen Formula
- Build strong business partnerships with hiring managers
- Use data to innovate and optimize the recruiting process
- Work with global recruiting team on strategic DEI initiatives, employer branding, and events and partnerships
- This is a contract role. We are targeting an initial duration of 6 months with potential for extension

Our take
Adyen has been one of the most successful businesses in Europe over the last decade. When it went public in 2018 at a valuation of €7bn, it raised over €1bn and its share price popped on the first day, resulting in a valuation of €14bn. Its valuation has continued to climb by the billions.
Adyen competes with large players like PayPal, as well as outsized startups like Stripe, to power payments and provide other infrastructure to conduct digital transactions. Disrupters in the field have been buoyed by a strong rise in eCommerce activity, where some or all of a transaction by a customer is made either online or by mobile.
Adyen has been one of the companies riding the wave by helping to reduce the friction between a company choosing to take payments online, and actually being able to do it. That can take multiple steps and agreements across numerous countries — Adyen’s pitch is that it essentially handles all of it in the backend as a service for its users. Notable partners have included Autocanteen, a touchless self-checkout solution for the hospitality industry, and BILL, a small business-focused fintech platform.
