Role
Who you are
- Experienced (5+ years) in visual design, particularly across digital and print media
- Strong understanding of design principles, including typography, color theory, and layout design
- Experienced working within brand guidelines and evolving brand systems
- Fluency in design software such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects)
- Knowledgeable of motion graphics or interactive design is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once, working independently and collaboratively across teams to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to present ideas clearly
Desirable
- Experience working with tech-driven products or healthcare solutions
- Proficiency in designing for responsive websites, social media content, and performance marketing
- Knowledge of UX/UI design and wireframing
What the job involves
- We are seeking a talented Visual Designer to join our dynamic and fast-paced marketing team to bring a creative vision to life across a range of digital and physical platforms. This role is essential in shaping how our product, brand, and messaging are experienced by our customers, from corporate partners to everyday users
- As a Visual Designer, you will work closely with our marketing, product, and sales teams to develop innovative visual solutions for Avive's brand, product launches, educational materials, and much more. You will report to the VP of Marketing, and your work will span across digital assets, print materials, videos, social media, web design, and beyond
- What you'll do:
- Continuously improve design assets across digital ads, landing pages, print collateral, emails, web, and social media platforms
- Develop original creative concepts and iterative designs for campaigns while staying true to Avive's brand and visual guidelines
- Create compelling infographics, animations, and video content that clearly communicate Avive's mission of lifesaving technology
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engaging visual content that supports brand, digital marketing, and sales initiatives
- Champion the visual consistency of Avive's brand identity, ensuring all designs reflect our commitment to accessibility, innovation, and life-saving technology
- Prototype ideas using tools like Figma, After Effects, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Identify opportunities to streamline design processes by creating templates and scalable visual systems
Our take
Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is a leading cause of death in the US, taking the lives of over 350,000 people per year. Currently, the survival rate for SCA is extremely low, but chances rise substantially if treatment can be administered quickly.
Avive Solutions exists to support better survival rates for SCA. The idea is to supply normal people with the tools to save lives, by developing and supplying automated external defibrillators (AEDs). The company's machines, which are currently the most portable FDA-approved AEDs on the market, not only act as defibrillators but also connect to other devices for remote monitoring, and can communicate with 911.
With the ultimate vision that no witnessed SCA goes untreated, there is no denying that Avive's undertaking is a noble one. Its product has been recognised by the International Design Excellence Awards, and substantial growth funding will be used to build connected AED networks in cities that enable AEDs to be used on Sudden Cardiac Arrest cases well before emergency services can arrive on scene.
