Role
Who you are
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance and/or related fields preferred
- 5+ years of experience in finance operations in a tech startup or a financial auditing firm, investment banking, FP&A and/or related experience
- Expertise in financial modelling & forecasting and treasury management with Excel / Google Sheets
- Crypto professional experience or strong personal interest
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where urgent requests & tight deadlines may arise occasionally
- Strong attention to detail, highly organized and comfortable navigating multiple accounts, entities, types of transactions
- Experience coordinating with external stakeholders (accountants, tax counsels, auditors, etc)
- Ability to balance between operational tasks and strategic thinking
- Knowledge of Cryptio or other crypto accounting tool is a plus
- English proficiency with strong written and verbal communication skills
What the job involves
- As Morpho’s first fully dedicated Financial team member, you’ll get to own a wide range of processes and work on various topics. You’ll become an expert of crypto accounting
- Own the update of monthly transactions and invoices
- Coordinate with the Office Manager and Accountants to ensure the smoothest process
- Be a Cryptio super user for onchain transactions
- Own the relationship with the Accountant and Financial Auditor (Commissaires aux Comptes) to set up the relevant internal procedures
- Reporting & Treasury Management
- Update the monthly reporting on expenses and treasury management both for internal operations management and to meet third-party requirements
- Drive monthly (or more) decisions on treasury management to rebalance exposure and positions across the various accounts and assets (fiat and crypto)
- Own financial forecasting on budgeting & business plan
- Support teams with their expenses monitoring and budgets, setting up dashboards
- Answer asks on metrics, financials, etc
- Track the MORPHO token distribution

With the ability to externalise risk management, it allows blockchain creators to integrate the layer into their own risk and compliance systems. Ultimately, Morpho is a lending protocol built upon open-source algorithms.
Originally founded as an optimisation layer for interest rate improvements, it has now evolved into a base layer for builders of crypto lending applications. With the intention of making DeFi protocols more accessible and easy to use through a user-controlled risk assessment platform, the company has attracted significant interest from big-hitting investors such as Coinbase Ventures and Variant. Morpho intends to use these funds to accelerate its mission to make financial infrastructure a public good.
