Who you are
- The ideal candidate will come from a larger organization (500-1,000+ employees) with deep experience scaling fast-growing teams and will have a clear opportunity to grow into the COO role within 2-3 years

- 7+ years of progressive operations leadership experience in high-growth, tech-enabled services environments
- Must come from a larger organization (500-1,000+ employees) with proven experience building scalable systems, processes, and organizational capabilities
- Experience scaling operations to $75M+ in revenue
- Track record of managing global teams across multiple locations and time zones
- Demonstrated success implementing operational systems and driving process improvements at scale
- Change Management Excellence: Exceptional ability to lead organizational transformation and drive adoption across diverse teams without disrupting productivity or morale
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Natural bridge-builder who establishes effective communication frameworks across departments and breaks down silos
- Learning & Development Focus: Proven track record building L&D programs, developing mid-level managers, and creating scalable training infrastructure
- Systems Thinking: Ability to see interconnections between people, processes, technology, and business outcomes; can diagnose root causes and design holistic solutions
- Proactive Leadership: Anticipates problems before they arise and builds systems to prevent them; operates ahead of the curve rather than reactively
- Working knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, Agile)
- Comfortable evaluating and implementing operational technologies as executive sponsor
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for modeling and operational analysis
- Experience with operational tools such as project management software, CRM systems, HRIS platforms

What the job involves
- We're seeking an exceptional SVP of Operations to lead our next phase of growth and operational excellence. This is an opportunity to build and scale operations across global teams, drive technology adoption, and establish systems that support our ambitious growth trajectory
- You'll be a key member of the executive leadership team, partnering closely with the CEO to translate strategic vision into operational reality
- Design and implement capacity planning models that balance client demand with team capacity across our global investigation teams (US, Romania, India, UK)
- Own general operations including facilities management for global offices and vendor relationships
- Establish early warning systems for capacity constraints, quality issues, and delivery risks
- Create standardized workflows and SOPs that enable consistent quality as we scale from current size to 500+ employees
- Establish robust L&D programs with defined training curricula for all roles to reduce onboarding time and improve quality consistency
- Build mid-level management capabilities and leadership pipelines to support rapid growth
- Develop career paths and succession planning that reduce attrition in critical roles
- Create internal mobility programs that retain top talent and develop future leaders
- Foster collaboration between investigations, customer success, sales, and technology teams
- Establish communication frameworks and meeting cadences that drive accountability without bureaucracy
- Lead change management initiatives that drive technology and process adoption across diverse global teams
- Serve as executive sponsor for our Investigations Platform and emerging AI/automation capabilities
- Drive adoption and optimization of operational tools including Guru (knowledge management), Rippling (HRIS), and investigative platforms
- Partner with product and engineering teams to ensure tools meet operational needs and deliver measurable ROI
- Identify opportunities to leverage automation to reduce manual effort and improve cycle times
- Manage day-to-day operations with P&L accountability including cost management and margin optimization
- Develop and monitor operational metrics tied to financial performance
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning processes
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability through efficiency gains and resource optimization
- Maintain adherence to all regulatory requirements affecting due diligence operations ( FCPA, AML, etc.)
- Establish robust internal controls and audit readiness
- Partner with QC teams to balance quality standards with delivery velocity
- Develop risk mitigation strategies for operational vulnerabilities
- Serve as operational escalation point for complex client situations
- Partner with sales and customer success teams to ensure operational capabilities support growth strategy
- Build trust with key clients through operational transparency and proactive communication
- Translate client feedback into operational improvements
