Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
- Extensive management experience in B2B brand development and/or PR, preferably in sports technology or digital industries
- Proven track record in multi-channel content creation and strategy, with a focus on meeting KPIs
- Previous experience leading a marketing team
- Exceptional copywriting skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Expertise in PR and communications strategies, with a deep understanding of social media
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects under pressure
What the job involves
- Drive our global marketing strategy to new heights
- As the Head of Brand and Marketing, you will be at the forefront of our cross-business marketing efforts, collaborating closely with Managing Directors and the Executive Leadership Team to deliver impactful campaigns, communications, and engagements worldwide
- You'll lead a talented marketing team and work closely with Sony's broader leadership to elevate the 'Sony Sports' brand and integrate our businesses seamlessly into the wider Sony ecosystem
- Strategic PR & Communications Leadership: Drive proactive and reactive PR strategies to enhance our companies' reputations and market positioning. Craft compelling narratives and capitalize on major sporting events to boost brand presence
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate closely with Managing Directors to align marketing initiatives with business objectives and support their priorities through strategic marketing services
- Team Management: Provide clear direction to the marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance. Ensure efficient resource allocation and drive continuous improvement in marketing processes
- Brand Communication Planning: Develop insights-driven communication plans tailored to different regions. Manage crisis communications effectively and liaise with Sony Group to strengthen the 'Sony Sports' brand
- Content Strategy: Execute content strategies to drive engagement across digital and traditional channels. Ensure all outbound communications reflect our brand identity and strategy
- Event Management: Oversee major external communications and events, guiding the team to execute flawlessly. Develop strategies to maximize the impact of product releases
- Media Relations: Prepare press releases, address media inquiries, and maintain relationships with key media outlets and influencers to secure coverage
