Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, OR equivalent relevant experience (1-3 years)
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; comfortable with high-volume phone and email outreach
- High level of motivation, resilience, and grit
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Eagerness to learn, accept feedback, and develop sales skills
- Basic familiarity with CRM software, Hubspot is a plus
- Proficiency in G-Suite
What the job involves
- We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing Sales team
- This entry-level role is crucial to our success, serving as the frontline in identifying and qualifying new business opportunities while nurturing renewals
- The BDR will focus on generating interest, creating a robust & qualified sales pipeline, and setting meetings for our Sales Leaders
- This is an excellent opportunity for a tenacious, coachable individual looking to launch a career in B2B sales
- Prospecting and Lead Generation: Actively seek new business opportunities by conducting market research, cold calling, email outreach, and utilizing social selling (e.g., LinkedIn, Industry Events)
- Lead Qualification: Qualify inbound and outbound leads to determine their potential fit and interest level for our products/services, aligning with our ideal customer profile
- Pipeline Management: Manage and update prospect activity and information accurately in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (e.g.,Hubspot)
- Appointment Setting: Successfully schedule qualified meetings and product demonstrations for Sales Leaders
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to develop and execute targeted outreach strategies and ensure a smooth handoff of qualified leads
- Renewals: support account retention by managing the administrative process for customer renewals, ensuring timely documentation, accurate data entry, and seamless coordination between sales and client success teams
- Product Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of our company's products, services, and value proposition to effectively communicate with prospects
- Goal Attainment: Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly goals for calls, emails, qualified leads, and scheduled meetings
Our take
For businesses operating today, cyber insurance is as fundamental as property insurance. However, companies may not be as educated in digital risk-assessment and can end up paying large insurance costs as a result. Resilience integrates risk engineering with their cyber-insurance offerings, allowing middle-market companies to build cyber resilience and access lower cost insurance options.
Traditionally, insurers assess the information security of a company and then write up their coverage, but Resilience instead works proactively to help mitigate problems where it finds them, before the policy is agreed. By doing so, it aligns itself with the interests of the businesses it serves and can form stronger insurer-customer relationships – which are maintained because Resilience offers access to security services for the whole length of the policy.
Resilience has seen significant investment through the years, including from notable investors in the insurance space, demonstrating that their approach is held in high regard. With this, it has invested in accelerating global expansion and scaling the adoption of the "Resilience Solution", its holistic cyber risk platform.
