Who you are

Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Proven experience in accounts receivable, billing, or general accounting
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines
Have the right to live and work in the UK

What the job involves

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Officer to manage invoicing, payment tracking and account reconciliations
You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely payment collections and supporting the finance team and Operations team in day-to-day accounting operations
Chase and follow up on outstanding invoices to ensure timely payments
Liaise with clients’ accounts teams to resolve queries and confirm payment allocations
Prepare and maintain regular debt reports for monitoring and management review
Prepare invoice files and ensure all supporting documentation is accurate and complete
Check and verify invoice files for accuracy prior to processing
Perform account and bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records
Update bank statements and maintain clear, up-to-date transaction records
Make adjustments to invoices, including purchase orders, credit notes, or corrections as required

Our take

Branded payments (such as gift cards, mobile call credit, vouchers and prepaid payment cards) have been in operation for decades - but lately have experienced something of a boom. They are an increasingly popular gift, and Recharge.com is a branded payments scaleup that’s taking advantage of this increased interest.

Recharge focus predominantly on partnerships with leading entertainment and telecom giants like Playstation, Netflix, Apple and Orange. They are not the only player in the market, competing with similar businesses as well as North American behemoth Blackhawk Networks.

To gain an edge, Recharge is looking to capture the consumer side of the $3 trillion-valued branded payments market. With consumers more actively involved in branded payments than ever before, this move could very well prove lucrative.
