What the job involves
- As a Legal Operations Specialist/Sr. Paralegal with the SigFig Legal Team, you will have the opportunity to be creative and dynamic, helping us build a cohesive Legal Department.
- You will support us by digging into complex research projects to help us deliver faster results to our business partners across SigFig, manage the SigFig contract intake process and contracts files, assist in managing the SigFig Compliance Program, and maintain required regulatory filings on behalf of the company
- This role will work directly to the Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer
- Provides general assistance to the legal team on legal and compliance projects including:
- Managing Docusign process for all legal contracts (NDA’s, vendor contracts, partner contracts, etc.)
- Coordinate and oversee contract intake process
- Assist with the administration of private equity with online platform, Carta
- Compliance Program administration/assistance to Chief Compliance Officer
- Support the Contract Management System platform, Evisort
- Corporate Data Room maintenance
- Corporate entity filing management
- General administrative and operational support
- Acts as liaison between company attorneys, outside counsel, organizations and in-house employees
- Assembles, proofs and edits drafts of contracts, leases, licenses, and insurance policies
- Prepares and files legal documents with appropriate entities, as required
- Conducts research on projects as directed by in-house attorneys
- May review and ensure the company's compliance with regulations
- Assists internally in analyzing documents
- May assist with the review and preparation of patent material and applications

SigFig has identified a niche by selling white-label robo-advisor services to financial services firms like Wells Fargo, UBS, and Citizens Bank.
SigFig's automated wealth management toolkits include robo-advisors, tools to improve tax efficiency, portfolio diversification advice, and other investment account management tools. They make money by selling this toolkit under a license to financial services firms and by taking a percentage of the assets that are managed using its technology. It also operates "SigFig for Consumers", which enables users to build smart and tax-efficient investment portfolios for a much lower cost than traditional advisors.
To remain competitive into the future, SigFig has executed and planned the launch of new offerings including Discover, a lead-generation software application, and a remote collaboration tool called Engage.
