Role
Who you are
- 6+ years of Product Management experience in SaaS, with experience in B2B or B2B2C products
- Experience bringing new products to market (0 to 1)
- Proven ability to set product strategy, align exec stakeholders, and lead through ambiguity
- Ability to gather qualitative and quantitative feedback and use it to quickly iterate on both the product and existing strategic assumptions
- Experience designing and launching generative AI-powered features, ideally AI agents, and stays current on latest evolutions in the AI space
- Excellent communication skills. Able to articulate tradeoffs, synthesize complexity, and align diverse stakeholders
- Attention to detail, and accountability for delivering high-quality, reliable user experiences
- Contact center, customer support, or insurance experience is a plus but not required
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Sr Product Manager to lead the launch and evolution of Hi Marley’s new AI-first solution for insurance carrier Service teams
- This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of not only our AI communication strategy but also help us firmly cement ourselves as an enterprise-wide communication platform for insurance carriers
- Your work will have a clear impact, as it will empower policyholders by providing them with a single, trusted contact to help resolve any service-related needs
- If you can remain rooted in the customer’s problem while identifying new solutions based on the latest technology, you’ll build a new product that improves how millions of policyholders experience insurance
- Go from vision to reality: Understand the vision, formulate a product strategy, and bring a solution to market that will generate long-term value for our customers, their customers (policyholders), and our business
- Rethink the existing Service experience: New technology creates an opportunity for new solutions to existing problems
- Deeply understand the existing insurance service problem space and available solutions
- Combine that with changes in technology and consumer behavior to create a new solution
- Measure what matters: Define and track success metrics that serve to help improve the product and, in the long-term, drive us towards a clear, outcome-based pricing model
- Stay ridiculously close to the customer: Work directly with Heads of Service, digital/customer experience leaders, and frontline reps at design partners and early adopters to validate use cases, pressure-test automation, and shape long-term product strategy
- Drive execution across teams: Champion the product from initial engineering all the way to market
- Collaborate with design and engineering on scoping, building, and testing
- Lead cross-functional execution with Customer Success, Support, Sales, and Marketing to ensure successful launches and adoption
- Ensure every product interaction builds trust: At every stage of the product lifecycle ensure that we are building a product that instills trust in each person that interacts with it, from the policyholder with the service inquiry to the team enabling the product at the carrier

The insurance industry can be notoriously frustrating for policyholders during the claims process, with a reported 40% of people considering a switch of insurers following a claim. This is the outcome that Hi Marley wants to help carriers avoid.
The company uses an AI-enabled communication platform designed to allow insurance carriers and their partners to talk to policyholders in real time via simple text messaging. This ultimately gives carriers more opportunities to satisfy and retain their customers.
Hi Marley has enjoyed rapid growth in recent years, with a quadrupling of its user base. It has also more than doubled the number of carriers using its platform, which now includes the likes of American Family, MetLife, Auto-Owners, Erie, and MAPFRE. Improvements such as the addition of a suite of collaborative tools to its platform seem likely to help it maintain its edge in the market.
