What the job involves
- Hudson River Trading (HRT) is looking for an experienced Chief Compliance Officer to join the Compliance team in our Dublin office
- This role requires expertise in European regulation, specifically within algorithmic trading. The ideal candidate will be proactive, collaborative, and capable of leading a team
- A strong understanding of Irish and European regulation and market structure is essential, along with a working knowledge of European equity and derivative trading venue market rules
- The role also demands effective communication skills at all organizational levels
- Actively liaise and communicate with the CBI
- Maintain compliance policies and procedures, develop new policies where applicable
- Routinely oversee the compliance program to ensure the firm is meeting its responsibilities
- Conduct compliance risk assessments and monitoring, report on findings and provide recommendations and implement changes where appropriate
- Act as a point of contact for the entity's regulator
- Respond to and/or review regulatory inquiries to ensure they are well written and consistent
- Complete regulatory filings and understand MiFID regulatory reporting requirements
- Review and/or supervise alerts generated by the surveillance system and advise on any changes to reports as required
- Develop and deliver compliance training
- Monitor regulatory developments and communicate applicable details to relevant teams within the group
- Provide compliance advice on trading and business initiatives
- Complete other ad hoc tasks or projects as assigned
