Role

Who you are

  • Hx is far less interested in counting years over evidence of delivery, and our requirements reflect this
  • Proven experience working as a Product Manager with a track record of successful product delivery in technical products (ideally at a fast-scaling B2B SaaS company)
  • A strong understanding of modern developer tooling (e.g. modern IDEs, Git, testing frameworks), the trends across the industry, and the core needs of software developers at different stages in their careers
  • Demonstrable experience working with a technical team with a highly technical product or service within its core responsibilities
  • A self-starting attitude: you enjoy managing your own time and work, within a high trust and high accountability, but high-support environment. You proactively drive your own personal development and stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and challenges

Desirable

  • Past experience building or leveraging AI technologies
  • Past experience in a software engineering role utilising developer tooling, particularly with JavaScript or Python

What the job involves

  • Note: hx is still a relatively early-stage business, and our culture prizes initiative highly - as such this section is a good indicator of your role, but the list isn’t exhaustive
  • Understand and represent our users’ needs - creating personas and mapping user journeys to our flagship product, hx Renew
  • Understand problems and opportunities through data, user research, competitor analysis running experiments, and interactions with the business
  • Deliver against a wider product vision, strategy and roadmap - executing with a dedicated cross-functional end-to-end product team
  • Co-ordinate across customers and hyperexponential to deliver from idea to implementation to launch - communicating the value to our users throughout the process
  • Create and manage your backlog, balancing strategic, customer, and internal work

hyperexponential was created to provide modelling software to help people and businesses build, deploy and manage analytical models that work with small, sparse and fragmented datasets. Its goal is to make teams more agile, collaborate more deeply, and work more productively.

hyperexponential's pricing and data-driven decision-making software is built for the specialty and commercial insurance markets. The product has broad applications, but the company's initial focus is on specialty insurance, a sector the founders know well, having worked there for more than a decade.

hyperexponential currently works with 13 of the largest insurers in Europe and is growing fast. In addition, the company launched Renew Connect, a partnership programme which offers integrations between all the best-of-breed solutions for insurers like Insurdata and Inari, and ensures the data flows freely and consistently between them.
