Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. Master’s Degree preferred
- Passion for our mission to transform children’s access to health care
- 10+ years or equivalent experience in customer and/or growth-based marketing role, ideally with a K-12 Education and/or health care lens
- 5+ years experience in leadership / management roles
- Proven track record of driving growth and revenue in a technology-driven environment
- Strong project management skills with keen attention to detail and proficient management of both internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a team
- Creative and strategic thinking and problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated expertise in brand management, external communications, and PR
- MarTech platform use and scaling experience is a plus - including platforms like Salesforce, Gainsight, Asana, Webflow, etc
- Experience managing remote-based teams
What the job involves
- The Vice President (VP), Marketing & Communications designs and implements effective marketing and external communications strategies that establishes Hazel’s brand and enables long-term partnership opportunities with state, district and local K–12 institutions
- Leveraging key insights about the Hazel buyer to end-user experience, the VP drives customer engagement, advocacy, acquisition, and retention strategies with prospective and existing customers (school districts, school staff, families, state / local government agencies)
- The VP will employ innovative strategies and tactics to automate and scale outbound marketing communication, brand nurturing, sales enablement, and ongoing content management
- The VP reports to Hazel's Chief Innovation Officer, and is a crucial member of Hazel’s Sales and Marketing teams
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with the company's growth objectives
- Identify market opportunities, customer segments, and trends to drive revenue growth
- Implement data-driven strategies to maximize customer acquisition and retention
- Collaborate closely with the Sales team to develop and execute strategies that drive revenue, including lead generation and conversion tactics
- Provide the sales team with tools, content, and training to improve their effectiveness and success
- Develop and maintain a strong, compelling brand identity that resonates with our mission and values
- Ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels, materials, and communications
- Develop and execute a strategy to identify stakeholder personas and enhance user experience
- Develop and execute a B2B2C strategy focused on engaging youth and family with the Hazel Health platform
- Monitor and manage the company's reputation in the market
- Lead external communications efforts, including PR, media relations, and public outreach
- Craft and disseminate compelling narratives to highlight our impact and progress to various stakeholders
- Act as a spokesperson for the company, both internally and externally
- Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability

Hazel Health aims to improve access to healthcare services for students, by making it possible for them to locate practitioners rapidly. The company has also assembled an array of experience in a variety of pediatric fields. As a result of this, Hazel Health has become the largest telehealth provider for K-12 schools, currently operating across over 14 states.
This is massively important at a time when the global telehealth market is projected to reach $560B by 2027. Hazel Health is well-placed to grow, having established a fertile demographic that makes it stand out from such rivals as Xiaowei Technology, Mikitsune, Hoop and Habyts.
Currently, Hazel Health provides healthcare access to over 1.5M children across the US, with the goal of providing for 78M students. While its an ambitious goal, the company is making exciting progress by focusing on strategic partnerships to drive its expansion and meet its goal.
