Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field
- Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in graphic design, preferably within the entertainment industry or creative agency
- Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design skills and experience
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects)
- Excellent understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory
- Experience with digital design and social media content creation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience with 3D programs and Premiere is a plus
- We are looking for someone who is comfortable working across static and motion projects and has a basic understanding of editing
- The role is suited to someone who comes from an agency or entertainment background

What the job involves
- Conceptualization & Design: Develop innovative and engaging design concepts for a variety of projects, including:
- Marketing campaigns (digital and print, static and motion)
- Social media content (static and motion)
- Merchandise
- Event and promotional materials
- Brand guidelines
- Multidisciplinary Expertise: Utilize your skills in graphic design, illustration, typography, and motion graphics to create cohesive and impactful visual experiences
- Brand Stewardship: Ensure consistent application of brand guidelines across all projects, maintaining the integrity and visual identity of our characters and properties
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, provide creative input, and deliver high-quality designs on time and within budget
- Art Direction: Provide art direction and guidance to freelancers and external vendors as needed
- Trend Awareness: Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, technologies, and best practices, particularly within the kids entertainment industry
- Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Feedback & Iteration: Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and iterate on designs to achieve optimal results
- You will work closely with other creatives, marketing managers, CG artists, producers, and other stakeholders to deliver impactful designs that resonate with our audiences
Our take
Moonbug is a global entertainment company producing fun, engaging and safe content for kids. With bases in London and Los Angeles, Moonbug’s video and audio content is produced with the goal of teaching compassion, empathy and resilience to its young audience.
Despite its relatively recent inception in 2018, the company owns properties including Blippi, Little Baby Bum and CoComelon, content that is distributed around the world on platforms including YouTube and Netflix, with the latter’s first series generating over 30 billion minutes of viewing. Its market presence is strong, with accompanying merchandise sold via Walmart and Amazon, and adjacent offerings such as its CoComelon video game.
Following the acquisition of Singapore-based One Animation, Moonbug has worked to increase its footprint in Asia, as well as making plans to take on South America and the Middle East. A 2023 rebrand seeks to raise the profile and recognizability of the brand as it continues both growth and diversification - for instance by partnering with Audible on a series of family-friendly podcasts.
