Role
Who you are
- 4–6+ years of experience in growth or performance marketing, with hands-on and strategic experience with paid social (Meta, Pinterest, TikTok)
- Effective communicator who can partner across teams and levels, especially in creative and marketing orgs
- Strong understanding of performance creative strategy and direct-response marketing principles across customer acquisition channels
- Demonstrated success in building and scaling high-volume creative testing programs that drive measurable performance improvements and deliver insights to drive iteration
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with performance data and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Looker, Google Sheets)
- Experience with influencer and UGC ecosystems, including sourcing, usage rights, and adapting content for paid use
- Curiosity and passion for staying ahead of industry / platform / creative trends in paid social and broader marketing space
- Experience with CTV or video creative for performance channels is a plus
What the job involves
- ThredUp is looking for a talented Growth Marketing Creative Manager to join our Growth team as we continue to acquire and retain customers efficiently at scale
- This person will serve as the creative and operational lead for digital channels, owning everything from creative workstream management to day-to-day vendor relationships, and while driving cross-channel learnings across paid, organic, and broader digital-led marketing
- You will also support the paid social team in their day to day in-platform execution of our ads
- The ideal candidate brings deep experience in paid social platforms (Meta, Pinterest, TikTok, Reddit) and has a strong grasp of creative strategy, UGC/influencer content, and cross-functional project management
- They’ll manage ThredUp’s creative testing strategy, serve as the primary point of contact for paid social vendors, and work across teams to build and scale performance assets that resonate across the funnel
- This role requires someone who is both highly analytical and creatively strategic, can manage fast-paced production timelines, uncover insights in performance data, and collaborate across Growth, Creative, Organic, and Product teams to push our performance and brand marketing forward
- A passion for testing, iteration, and a deep curiosity for what drives engagement and conversion is key
- This role will report to the Director of Growth Marketing and is based at ThredUp's headquarters in Oakland, CA
- Own and manage the full creative workstream for paid social and digital acquisition channels, from briefing and asset development to launch, performance recap, and iteration cycles
- Build and lead creative testing roadmaps across platforms, driving experimentation with asset types (e.g. UGC, branded, educational, influencer) and formats tailored to each channel. Translate ThredUp’s brand positioning into high-performing direct-response creative across paid channels
- Lead day-to-day relationships and operations with external vendors, agencies, creators, and partners, ensuring timely execution, clear feedback loops, and performance accountability
- Collaborate with internal creative, organic, and influencer teams to source, adapt, and scale UGC and influencer content for paid campaigns
- Translate performance data, customer insights, and creative trends into actionable recommendations and new creative concepts by leveraging platform metrics such as CAC, ROAS, and CVR
- Support in-platform execution and troubleshooting in paid social channels and other platforms as needed
- Proactively identify opportunities and bring forward hypotheses; owning a test-and-learn mindset that moves fast and documents rigorously. Stay current on platform changes, paid social best practices, and creative trends to inform roadmap decisions

Yet, despite this change in fashion trends, consumers must often rely on brick-and-mortar thrift stores and unregulated second-hand eCommerce marketplaces in order to access and find pre-owned clothing.
ThredUp provides an online marketplace for the buying and selling of secondhand fashionwear, offering affordable prices on discount clothing whilst promising a regulated and consistent approach to quality and cleanliness standards. The company acquires its clothing through sellers sending packages of clothing, which the company then sifts through to decide what is sellable and what should be returned.
The company went public in 2021 and immediately acquired Remix, a European second-hand fashion outlet, as part of its international expansion plans. It has, however, struggled to achieve profitability thanks to global economic turmoil and a glut of new clothing in the fashion industry, causing prices to drop sharply. It is focusing on reducing its operating costs and expanding its storage capacity. Analysts expect it to weather the current conditions in good form.
