Senior Accountant, Cents

• The ideal candidate has expert knowledge of Canadian taxes, specifically payroll and GST/HST tax preparation and submission as well as experience with year end audit work paper preparation and reconciliation
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field preferred
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping
• Proficiency in accounting software, Xero and SalesForce a plus
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
• Experience with payroll processing and tax filings
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Experience with vendor payments and customer collections a must

• We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team and oversee the back office accounting operations of our Canadian arm with precision and efficiency.
• This role involves managing the monthly close process, weekly accounts payable, weekly accounts receivable, daily/weekly cash posting as well as monthly reconciliations, cross department collaboration, as well as collaboration and contact with customers and vendors.
• Manage and own full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting
• Maintain general ledger, reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts monthly, and prepare journal entries
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including sales tax reporting and payroll filings
• Assist with audits, tax preparations, and year-end closing
• Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting policies
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management
