Who you are
- Experience working with TypeScript and Node.js
- Commercial experience working with GraphQL
- Experience working with data structures and understanding of SQL
- Experience writing effective unit tests
- A motivation to continuously work towards a higher standard of code
- Effective communication skills, allowing you to contribute to discussions and convey ideas in an accessible manner
What the job involves
- You will be responsible for building and maintaining robust GraphQL APIs, extending existing functionality or breaking things out into more re-usable patterns, whilst being mindful about consistency and reusability using Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, Azure Serverless and Git
- Building and maintaining robust GraphQL APIs to provide clients with multiple data-rich views into operational risk management
- Schema design and providing guidance on schema best practices
- Data orchestration – create functions and logic apps for more complex data orchestration tasks
- Write test cases in line with frameworks set out by QA team to ensure good coverage on your code
- Follow best practice set within the team and align your deliverables to it
- Continuously seek out opportunities to innovate

While most institutions are well set to manage market, credit and liquidity risks, the need to enhance management of non-financial risk is becoming ever more apparent.
Acin is setting out to build a brand-new infrastructure for operational risk management. It's a challenging mission, and will involve redefining the way some of the world’s biggest financial services companies and banks work with data. Yet the company has made impressive progress. Based on a network of peers, Acin’s data protocols connect a bank’s risk control data across their firm and industry, creating huge efficiency savings across the bank both in front and back-office operations.
Acin is now positioned as a strong digitisation option for financial services, and has attracted funding from JP Morgan, Citi, BNP Paribas, Barclays, and Lloyds Banking Group. They will be using this investment to develop new products and enter new fields across the financial services sector.
