Finance Manager, ExTrac

• 2-4+ years in finance, ideally within high-growth startup environments
• Strong working knowledge of SaaS business models and metrics
• Proven experience implementing and/or managing financial automation tools and integrations
• Proficiency with cloud accounting systems and automating workflows via tools or APIs
• Advanced spreadsheets and financial modelling skills (Excel / Google Sheets)
• Excellent communication skills; able to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
• Hands-on, problem-solver with a builder mindset

Desirable

• Own day-to-day operations: AP/AR, expenses, bank reconciliations, and month-end close
• Oversee all ledger activity; ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies
• Manage monthly and annual close processes with accuracy and timeliness
• Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Build and maintain dashboards and forecasting models
• Prepare monthly management reports; drive budgeting, forecasting, and planning cycles
• Partner with department leads to drive budget accountability and transparency; support scenario modelling and long-term planning
• Identify and automate manual processes across billing, payments, approvals, forecasting, and reporting
• Evaluate, implement, and integrate finance tools; collaborate with operations and Engineering on internal systems (e.g., billing architecture, API integrations)
• Ensure clean, reliable data flows between CRM, billing, and accounting/finance systems; reduce reporting time, errors, and overhead
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors
• Maintain strong internal controls and risk-mitigation processes
• Ensure correct treatment of deferred revenue, equity, and R&D tax claims
• Maintain compliance with statutory and tax requirements (e.g., VAT, R&D tax credits, payroll filings)
