Who you are
- You have a deep understanding web of technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript - you know them inside out. You care about the small things (semantics, accessibility, performance) because they add up to better experiences
- You’ve built real products with both TypeScript + React. You structure code so others can understand it, not just so it works
- You’re curious about AI tools and aren’t afraid to experiment with AI to speed up dev workflows, boost productivity, or prototype ideas
- You have a mobile-first mindset. You’ve built web apps that feel fast and native on mobile - not just responsive, but truly touch-friendly
- You have an eye for design. You don’t need to be a designer, but you care about alignment, spacing, typography, and flow
- You've worked at a successful startup and you’re comfortable with a fast pace, shifting priorities, and picking up whatever needs doing
- You explain your thinking well - to engineers, designers, or anyone else in the room

What the job involves
- This is your chance to lead frontend at a company changing how people run their cars. You’ll be joining a talented, experienced team shipping fast and making a real impact from day one
- Own our web experience: You’ll lead development on all web surfaces - customer-facing and internal - and set the direction for how we build things moving forward
- Work with design, product, and engineering: Turn clean mockups into slick, responsive, accessible interfaces. Help shape what we build, not just how we build it
- Set the standard: Define and refine our web architecture. Build a design system that scales. Spot issues before they hit production. You’ll be the one raising the bar
- Build tools for the team: Create internal platforms that make our operations smoother and our customer experience better

- Video chat number 2 (2 hours): This will be the more technical part of the process. We will ask you to walk us through some recent work of yours. This could be your open source contributions or a personal project that you have worked on recently

In a fragmented system spread across insurers, governmental bodies, and car service providers, Caura has created a single app that allows drivers to manage everything that has to do with car ownership, from admin to payments to insurance. The company's products include Caura Protect - a service that helps drivers to easily manage vehicle and driver insurance on its platform; and Caura Drive - a payment service that allows drivers to pay charges and tolls by using a single app.
The company's early 2023 Lloyds-backed funding was invested in the further development of its existing products and the launch of new capabilities, such as parking charge payments and enhanced embedded financial services.
