Who you are
- We're interested in professionals with experience in several of the following areas:
- Security leadership, governance, risk and compliance (GRC)
- Cloud security architecture and security strategy
- ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC 2, GxP, 21 CFR Part 11 or similar regulated frameworks
- Audit leadership, customer assurance and certification programs
- Healthcare technology, pharmaceutical, biotechnology or regulated SaaS environments
- Customer-facing security engagements and executive stakeholder management
- Evidence automation, continuous compliance and operational assurance
- European health-data and AI regulations, including EHDS and the EU AI Act
- 8+ years of relevant experience in security, compliance, governance or assurance, including leadership responsibilities
- Hold CISSP, CISM, or equivalent
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving cross-functional initiatives
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- A pragmatic approach to balancing security, compliance and business objectives
- Strong stakeholder management, decision-making and leadership capabilities

What the job involves
- As a Security, Trust & Compliance Lead, you would help shape BC Platforms' security, compliance and assurance strategy across our healthcare technology platforms
- Professionals in this area must contribute to:
- Leading security, trust and compliance initiatives across cloud-based and regulated environments
- Driving audit readiness, compliance programs and evidence-based assurance across frameworks such as ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC 2 and GxP
- Providing leadership on risk management, governance and security strategy
- Partnering with customers, auditors and key stakeholders on security reviews, assurance activities and regulatory compliance
- Supporting organizational readiness for emerging regulations, including EHDS and the EU AI Act
- Contribute to technology that supports healthcare innovation and better patient outcomes
- Work with international teams across engineering, science, consulting and operations
- Help build secure and compliant platforms in a highly regulated industry
- Influence the development of security and trust capabilities in a growing organization

Our take
BC Platforms is a technology company offering a genomic data management platform for the development of personalised medicine approaches, accelerating the translation of insights into clinical practices. The platform is designed to support secure and efficient management, analysis, and interpretation of genomic data and provides a comprehensive solution for managing that data across the entire lifecycle, from sample collection to data analysis and reporting.
Alongside this, BC Platforms developed a Global Data Partner Network (BCRQUEST), which allows access to high-quality real-world data. This network has seen rapid growth and is now used across many sites, including a network of hospitals, and covers over 20 countries across the world, providing standard-of-care data for over 187M patients.
What began as an MIT Whitehead project in 1997 has since developed into a strong scientific heritage over the past 25 years. It achieved this through close work with a network of leading researchers, developers, and industry partners. BC Platforms now has operations globally and doesn't plan to slow down soon. Instead, the company is focused on accelerating the expansion of its digital footprint, and reached a key milestone of providing its users with more than 100M accessible subjects in 2026.
