Who you are

What the job involves
- As our Head of Business Development, you’ll be at the forefront of Brenger’s expansion strategy. Your mission is to build and strengthen partnerships, particularly with second-hand marketplaces like our collaboration with Marktplaats, to expand our impact across the Benelux, Germany, and beyond.
- You’ll also drive the redefinition of our B2C propositions, opening new doors and enhancing our market presence, ultimately contributing to a more sustainable, circular economy
- Partnership Management (40%): Cultivate and enhance relationships with key partners, driving mutual success
- Business Development (30%): Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities, conduct market research, and develop compelling propositions
- Project Management (30%): Collaborate across teams to align partnership strategies with Brenger’s growth objectives

- Redefine our B2C offerings to boost market reach and customer engagement

Our take
Brenger provides a platform that automatically connects couriers that are on the road with excess space in their vehicles that are already on route with orders for private individuals. Its solution solves two problems; individuals buying large items from online marketplaces can easily get professional transport, and couriers can fill up their trucks more efficiently, making more money in the process and reducing CO2 emissions.
In 2019 Brenger launched for the B2C market, allowing companies like furniture stores to use its service to make deliveries. A milestone was its partnership with Marktplaats.nl, the largest online marketplace for second-hand items in the Netherlands.
Brenger is active in the Netherlands and Belgium, with a network of over a thousand partner carriers. The company has recently launched its services in West Germany, with the intention of expanding further internationally. Growing steadily, it is well poised to achieve its aim of reducing 20,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions by 2025.
