Role
Who you are
- You bring 3+ years of full-stack engineering experience with modern technologies including Python, TypeScript/React, and PostgreSQL
- You have strong systems design expertise, with a track record of architecting scalable and efficient software
- You have a strong product sense—able to empathize with users, prioritize MVPs, and identify what should come next
- You value smart speed—shipping quickly without compromising long-term architecture
- You’re comfortable with ambiguity, enjoy filling in gaps, and prototype to validate ideas before committing to full builds
- You have excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and thrive in both independent and collaborative work
- Experience in analytics tools or health tech is a plus
- Deep understanding of Python and modern web frameworks, with proven ability to scale client-facing applications
- Strong foundation in systems design paradigms and tradeoffs
- Experience with frontend development (React, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, web components)
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or similar
- Strong knowledge of ORMs and their tradeoffs
Desirable
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with AWS offerings (EC2, S3, RDS)
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog)
- Active participation in design and product discussions
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
What the job involves
- Architecture & Development: Play a critical role in the design, architecture, and implementation of scalable, robust software solutions across the stack
- End-to-End Engineering: Prototype and develop web applications with complex interaction patterns, flexible components, and efficient backend systems using Python, TypeScript/React, and PostgreSQL
- API & Backend Ownership: Build and maintain server-side applications, APIs, and database management systems that power our platform
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Design, Customer Success, and Sales to deliver features that solve meaningful customer problems
- Technical Leadership: Lead projects, guide technical direction, and act as a systems design expert for complex initiatives
- Quality & Best Practices: Ensure high standards of code quality through testing, reviews, and modern software engineering best practices
- Mentorship: Support and mentor junior engineers, raising the technical bar across the team

Adonis is a revenue intelligence and automation platform addressing the inefficiencies and complexities of revenue cycle management (RCM) in healthcare. Traditional RCM processes are often manual and fragmented, causing significant revenue losses and operational inefficiencies.
To combat these issues, Adonis has created a platform that integrates with electronic health records (EHRs) and uses AI to power real-time dashboards, alerts, claims tracking and smart worklists. These tools provide billing teams with insights to improve productivity, mitigate denials and prioritize the right tasks.
With significant financial backing, Adonis is well-positioned for the future. It has plans to accelerate product innovation, expand into the health system space and grow its New York City team as it helps more healthcare providers recover revenue, reduce staffing needs and focus on patient care.
