Role
Who you are
- 8-12 years experience in Technical Account Management or Customer Success at a SaaS company
- Strong technical background in data protection, cloud technologies, and SaaS
- Experience in building a catalog of value-added services for partner and customer consumption
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand the needs and priorities of partners and customers
- Excellent presentation, communication (verbal & written), and relationship building skills, across all levels of management including negotiations and risk abatement
- Results-oriented with the ability to prioritize activities, plan and organized to meet commitments
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; a Master's degree is a plus
- You can demonstrate competence in leading individuals and teams
- You can demonstrate competence in SaaS technologies, strategic planning, solution development, technical enablement and process management
- You can demonstrate effective communication and presentation skills
- You have maintained a moderate understanding of enterprise server backup technology
- You have maintained a moderate understanding of cloud infrastructure and services
- You will be dedicated to the role and will not hold any positions with other companies or business ventures
- You could travel up to 25% of the year (business days)
What the job involves
- The Sr. Director of Technical Account Management is responsible for overseeing and managing the Technical Account Management and Professional Services teams
- The position is expected to be capable of building and leading high performing individuals that will focus on customer onboarding, adoption, health and overall customer satisfaction
- It is expected that this individual can effectively work cross-functionally with leadership in partner and alliances, sales and sales engineering, program management, product management, engineering, customer success and marketing teams at Druva to ensure collaboration and success of our GTM programs
- Lead and mentor a team of Technical Account Managers (TAMs), providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure the team's success
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their strategic objectives, and acting as their trusted advisor within Druva
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Engineering, and Product Management, to address customer needs and drive product enhancements
- Ensure the successful onboarding of new customers, working with the TAM team to define and execute onboarding plans
- Drive customer adoption and utilization of Druva's data protection services, helping customers achieve their desired outcomes
- Proactively identify opportunities for upsell and cross-sell to increase revenue and customer satisfaction
- Monitor customer health and satisfaction, taking action to address any issues or concerns promptly
- Create and deliver regular reports and updates to senior leadership on the performance and progress of the TAM team

The data protection industry is booming, thanks to a move to the cloud. Businesses now have access to vast amounts of data that can provide deep insights into every aspect of their operations, but at the same time are vulnerable to cybercrime and service outages. Druva, founded in 2008, exists to protect that vital data with a cloud-based backup service.
As the move to the cloud accelerates, there is a rising number of companies offering data resiliency services, including IBM, Commvault and Rubrik. However, unlike major competitors, Druva's platform is the first entirely cloud-based service, needing no hardware changes.
