Role
Who you are
- You hold a university degree, with 2+ years of experience in Account Management, ideally with marketplace and/or retail businesses
- You command English and German at a professional; additional languages are a plus
- Proven experience in managing and growing accounts, driving performance improvements, and coordinating operational projects with a hands-on mentality and entrepreneurial mindset
- You are passionate about working with people and can effectively communicate, influence, and build trust with stakeholders at different levels
- You bring a tech and AI-first mindset to your approach, coupled with strong critical thinking skills
- You are resilient, learning from setbacks without losing momentum, and bring a structured, analytical approach to problem-solving
- Previous experience working in a marketplace environment
What the job involves
- As an Account Manager, you will take full ownership of our top tier sellers portfolio and play a key role in developing its long-term success
- Your core mission is to grow these accounts by identifying new countries, categories, and products where sellers can expand their sales
- Beyond driving numbers, you will act as the trusted partner for your sellers, representing refurbed in every interaction, uncovering and leveraging synergies to unlock sustainable, mutual growth
- You will develop your expertise in a very exciting industry and shape the circular economy of the future
- This role will have high visibility in the company, working closely with Refurbed’s leadership team and offering a an attractive personal growth path
- Take ownership of a defined seller portfolio, with a focus on growing accounts and unlocking new opportunities across countries, categories, and products
- Build and maintain strong relationships with sellers, acting as their trusted partner while always representing refurbed’s position
- Serve as a problem-solver and advocate for your accounts, collaborating with internal teams to identify solutions and drive innovation
- Ensure a smooth operational setup and ongoing performance by guiding sellers through our marketplace processes and working closely with cross-functional teams
- Analyze performance and identify growth levers, helping sellers to maximize their potential on the platform
- Be part of an international, dynamic, and hands-on team with flat hierarchies and direct engagement with leadership to drive strategic initiatives

Our take
Buying refurbished electronics can be a fantastic way to give a device a second life whilst saving a bit of cash, but many people are skeptical of doing so. Such items are often sold through illegitimate channels and there is no guarantee that the device will work for long, resulting in people avoiding refurbished goods.
Refurbed provides a refurbished electronics marketplace, which is challenging this. It allows users to browse and purchase refurbished devices that come with a minimum of 12 months' warranty.
The platform operates based on a monthly subscription fee, and whilst this will present a challenge when alternative marketplaces are free to use, the company has recognised that consumers are happy to pay for quality and warranty. Through its marketplace, the company aims to increase the prevalence of refurbished device purchases, helping to reduce waste and carbon footprints and helping consumers save money in the process. $40 million in 2025 funding is being invested into AI-driven efficiency and CX solutions.
