Who you are
- This position requires passing a ServiceNow background screening, USFedPASS (US Federal Personnel Authorization Screening Standards)
- This includes a credit check, criminal/misdemeanor check and taking a drug test. Any employment is contingent upon passing the screening. Due to Federal requirements, only US citizens, US naturalized citizens or US Permanent Residents, holding a green card, will be considered
- Experience leveraging or critically evaluating how AI can be integrated into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This includes using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's impact on the business or industry
- 8+ years of experience with Java or a similar object-oriented programming language
- Passion for JavaScript/TypeScript, the web platform, reusability, and component-based development
- Experience with data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance and scalability considerations
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and software design skills
- Experience with modern UI frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, or similar
- Strong understanding of relational databases, including development, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python
- Familiarity with Kubernetes is a plus

- We are the Workplace Engineering team. We create the enterprise environments within the ecosystem of ServiceNow. As a Workplace Engineering team, we build, configure, and manage applications and workflows that optimize physical and digital work environments
- Build and innovate new features for WSD (Workplace Service Delivery), delivering solutions that enhance physical and digital work environments
- Drive customer success by supporting customers during case-related activities, implementations, and go-live events
- Maintain and support deployed services by addressing vulnerabilities, ensuring security, stability, and ongoing reliability
- Build, configure, and manage applications and workflows that optimize physical and digital work environments
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-quality software solutions that improve enterprise workflows and user experiences
- Partner with product owners and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver reliable, customer-focused solutions
- Build clean, reusable, and maintainable code by following software engineering best practices, including code reviews, unit testing, and test automation
- Design software that is extensible and configurable, enabling customers to customize workflows and meet their unique business needs
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while enhancing and supporting existing applications
- Mentor team members and foster a culture of collaboration, technical excellence, and knowledge sharing
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance application performance, scalability, and reliability across enterprise environments

The company is prioritising organic growth over mergers and acquisitions, with a target revenue of $15B, something which its Visa partnership will no doubt aid in achieving.
