Who you are

  • Wayfair is seeking a strong communicator and natural storyteller to join its Internal Communications team

  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum 5+ years of experience in corporate communications; experience in HR/Talent communications a plus
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills

  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization

What the job involves

  • This is an exciting opportunity to lead internal communications efforts aimed at informing and engaging our global workforce
  • The role will involve working cross-functionally with key stakeholders across departments such as Talent, Commercial, Tech, Finance, DEI, Social Impact, and more
  • The position also includes the management and development of a direct report
  • The role reports into the Head of Corporate Communications and is based at the company’s headquarters in Boston
  • Internal Communications Program Support: Lead the overall support of the internal communications program, ensuring alignment with company objectives and culture
  • Editorial Calendar Management: Oversee and contribute to the internal editorial calendar, ensuring timely and effective communication
  • Channel Ownership: Own and maintain key internal communication channels, including the company intranet, newsletters and emails
  • All Company Meetings: Lead the development and execution of quarterly all company meetings
  • Leadership Messaging: Collaborate with senior leaders to craft clear and impactful messaging for executive announcements, town halls, and other leadership communications
  • Talent Communications: Partner with the Talent team to manage critical updates, including open enrollment, benefits, performance cycles, and employee surveys
  • Engagement Initiatives: Design and implement initiatives that enhance employee morale, celebrate company achievements, and reinforce organizational values
