Who you are
- The ideal candidate possesses excellent quantitative, written, and verbal skills and has the proven ability to work on projects independently
- The candidate must be able to translate detailed financial information to various audiences, persuasively presenting complex business issues and potential solutions in a clear and concise manner
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years related work experience, preferably proven success in financial planning & analysis at a large / complex organization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Natural financial literacy with the ability to distil complicated concepts and models into actionable plans to update routinely
- Flexible communication skills that allow you to understand & explain complex relationships within financial data, while condensing to core factors in plain English for those outside Finance
- Advanced MS Excel skills, proficient PowerPoint user with experience with BI tools (e.g. OneStream, DOMO, Oracle and SAP)
- CPA or other professional designation a plus

What the job involves
- The Corporate Finance Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team handles financial operations, managing Global forecast, planning, and management reporting
- We partner with and support Ticketmaster leaders by providing actionable financial insights to influence business strategy and decisions
- This is a key strategic Global Finance role responsible for setting business expectations and delivering financial results to the CFO, COO and President of Ticketmaster and the finance executives of our parent Live Nation Entertainment
- It will be important to proactively build relationships within the team and across departments, as a trusted and reliable source of information and support
- Reporting to Ticketmaster’s VP of Finance, this position will work closely with peers in Finance and strategic partners across the division to incorporate real-time data into budgets and forecasts
- Lead annual budgeting process balancing targeted investment with growth expectations
- Collaborate with operational leaders to incorporate trends in sales volumes, rate changes and product mix into updated forecasts
- Identify data points that are reliable indicators of future performance, continually exploring sources to challenge assumptions, clarify our understanding of financial relationships, and enhance accuracy
- Partner with finance and business leads across the division to reflect departmental priorities into budgets and departmental realities into forecasts
- Develop a deep knowledge of business information systems to gather relevant information that can confirm or dispel hunches
- Design multi-layered yet ultimately simple methodologies to estimate business performance based on a range of inputs
- Understand risks & opportunities and incorporate them into sensitivity analysis on short-, medium- and long-term time horizons
- Prepare meaningful analysis that highlights business successes and challenges
- Create compelling presentations of business results and forecasts that tell the story of inputs, outputs and delivery in a straightforward manner, tailored to the particular audience
- Present forecasts and results to senior finance and business leaders that focus on core themes
- Develop and track KPIs that will result in the business meeting its objectives
- Identify ways to enhance financial processes and reporting capabilities to drive efficiency
- Manage Financial Analyst, enabling them to explore hidden relationships within the data while maintaining timely output of deliverables

Live Nation is the world's leading live entertainment company, sitting at the top of the market in live events and ticketing. Formed in 2005, it is a major international company, with key business segments made up of concerts, ticketing, and sponsorship and advertising.
Despite its dominant position in the market, the company saw an 84% drop in revenue during 2020 and the closure of live events. Since then, however, demand has been stronger than ever for their ticket sales. This is a reflection that live events remain a clear priority for consumers and has been further reflected in Live Nation's acquisitions of companies - like Goodlive - that complement and bolster Live Nation's portfolio.
In addition to live events, a key area to watch for Live Nation will be the rise of online concert streaming, like that undertaken by competitors such as Driift. Major festivals such as Glastonbury have trialled online concerts with mixed reviews. If it proves successful, this could be a major new section of the entertainment market and a big potential part of Live Nation's future ventures.
