Role
Who you are
- 🔧 You have completed studies with a focus on Finance/Accounting or have completed a relevant commercial training, ideally with additional qualification as a certified accountant
- 🔧 You have at least 10 years of international experience/ multi-geography
- 🔧 You have at least 5 years of managerial experience
- 🔧 You bring relevant professional experience (in balance sheet accounting with closing expertise)
- 🔧 You have experience in Audit processes from market leader accounting/ audit firms
- 🔧 You are fluent in both French and English (German is a plus)
- 🔧 You have a solid understanding of HGB and IFRS
- 🔧 You have a self-reliant, proactive, and structured way of working, as well as self-motivation, resilience, and a sense of responsibility
- 🔧 You are agile and adaptable
- 🔧 You have in-depth knowledge of working with an ERP system (SAP knowledge is mandatory)
- 🔧 You have a confident command of MS Office, especially Excel (G-suite a plus) and proven modeling skills
- 🔧 You have relevant experience in managing teams in a multicultural environment
What the job involves
- In a context of a replacement, you will be our new Head of accounting for all Free2move activities
- You take on the independent responsibility for the balance sheet accounting of Free2move Group and subsidiaries
- You prepare individual financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis according to IFRS and local GAAP
- You prepare the General Reporting
- You assume responsibility for the chart of accounts
- You are responsible for examining contracts regarding IFRS 16 and calculations regarding IFRS 9
- You independently manage projects (e.g., SAP S/4hana optimization, IKS, company set-up, and more)
- You act as the contact person for "local and IFRS audits" as well as for financial statements
- You are the contact person for Stellantis accounting requirements and you manager consolidation on a monthly basis on the consolidation tools for Stellatins group
- You manage the local teams in the different counties, maintaining coordination with Group’s processes and timelines (team of 10 people AP & GL, up to 5 direct reports)

Our take
Free2Move provides an all-in-one car logistics service, offering services for booking parking spaces, car rental, car sharing, taxis, and electric car recharge locations. The company's services are provided across 170 countries with pricing tiers for both personal and business use and include all necessary regulations such as insurance, maintenance, and customer support.
Whilst it’s undeniable that individual online mobility services exist for each of the services that Free2Move provides, the company has made a smart move by aggregating them all into a universal easy-to-use car logistics service. Whilst the company currently provides access to both gas-powered and electric vehicles, it plans to focus on reducing its carbon footprint by focusing more on electric cars in the future.
Other plans moving forward include an expansion into America, with the introduction of ride-sharing services across five major US cities through a fleet of 3000 cars. Whilst car-sharing hasn't been a major trend in the US, CEO Brigitte Courtehoux, appointed at the end of 2022, is capitalizing on another gap in the US market by leasing its technology to US car dealers for use in their own respective rental and car-sharing services. It's also launched a mobility app in partnership with Share Now, which it merged with in 2022.
