Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience administering work management platforms such as Jira & Smartsheets
- Jira Administration for Cloud and Managing Jira Projects for Cloud certifications required
- Smartsheet Core Product, System Administrator, and Project Management certifications required
- Demonstrated strong analytical/problem-solving skills and ability to follow procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong familiarity with agile software development practices and tools
- Solution-oriented with a high sense of quality, attention to detail, accuracy, efficiency, and meeting tight deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in Agile development environments required
- Strong understanding of Jira workflows, schemes, custom fields, permissions, and notification configurations
- Experience with scripting and automation using tools like Jira Automation or REST APIs
- Familiarity with integrating Jira with other tools (e.g., Confluence, Bitbucket, CI/CD systems)
- Proficiency in system administration, including updates, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in configuring Smartsheet solutions, including forms, workflows, reports, dashboards, and templates
- Expertise in automating processes using Smartsheet’s Automation Rules and integrations with third-party tools
- Knowledge of APIs and integrations to connect Smartsheet with other enterprise systems (e.g., Salesforce, Jira, or Microsoft Teams)

What the job involves
- We are seeking a skilled Applications Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team
- This role will configure, maintain, and optimize our work management platforms, Jira and Smartsheet, to support organizational workflows and project management needs
- This role involves managing user access, troubleshooting system issues, and implementing customizations to enhance productivity and ensure seamless team collaboration
- Manage the configuration and customization of work management platforms to meet business requirements
- Manage application user access with a focus on role-based permissions and security
- Oversee data imports, cleansing, and de-duplication to ensure data integrity
- Implement data validation rules and automation to streamline business processes
- Build and manage workflow and validation rules, and process automation
- Develop custom reports and dashboards to track key performance metrics
- Ensure that Application best practices are implemented and that high data quality and security standards are maintained
- Create and maintain clear, concise, and comprehensive "how-to" guides for Jira and SmartSheet
- Update documentation regularly to reflect changes in workflows, tools, and best practices
- Provide visual aids, including screenshots or video tutorials, to enhance understanding
- Develop standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for tool usage
- Act as the point of contact for Jira and SmartSheet-related queries and troubleshooting
- Regularly collect and incorporate user feedback to improve tool usage

Since launching as Wireless Generation in the year 2000, before rebranding in 2012 after News Corp acquired the company, Amplify has grown into one of the leading providers of K-12 curricula, assessment and supplemental programs for ELA (English Language Arts), Math and Science.
The EdTech market has been growing rapidly for the last decade and more, and its value is expected to surpass 230 billion by 2030. This growth means that the company has plenty of competition from the likes of Khan Academy and Kaplan Test, but the fact that Amplify is used by around 10 million students puts it in a very strong position.
After a major growth funding round in 2021, Amplify acquired digital math tools developer Desmos. This is in keeping with its commitment to strategically acquire high-performing education companies in order to expand its own tech and product offerings.
