Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of proven experience in a recruiting role within a fast-paced, tech-driven environment, with a focus on go-to-market functions
- Strong sourcing skills with proficiency in using various sourcing tools and techniques to identify and engage with top talent
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates and stakeholders alike
- Strong time management and organizational abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- A data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze recruitment data and use insights to drive process improvements
- A collaborative nature with a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Must have experience working within a SaaS environment, with a genuine excitement for AI and the opportunity to help build the future of work

What the job involves
- As a go-to-market (GTM) sales recruiter, you'll play a pivotal role in scaling the sales engine that powers WRITER's growth
- You'll be responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring exceptional enterprise and strategic candidates who align with our company values and contribute to our growth objectives
- This is a high-impact role — the people you bring in will be the ones closing deals with the world's leading enterprises, expanding our footprint, and helping us cement our position as the leader in enterprise generative AI
- We're growing fast, and our GTM team is at the center of that growth
- You'll partner closely with hiring managers across sales to understand their needs, build targeted sourcing strategies, and deliver a seamless candidate experience that makes top talent excited to join WRITER
- Your work will directly shape the revenue org that takes our platform to hundreds more companies
- This is a 6-month contract role based in our San Francisco or New York City offices, with the option for a hybrid or remote setup. You’ll report to the VP, talent
- Proactively source and engage with passive candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, and professional networks to build a steady pipeline of top GTM talent
- Conduct initial phone screens and interviews to assess candidates' qualifications, cultural fit, and alignment with our company values
- Partner closely with hiring managers and stakeholders to understand their hiring needs and provide regular updates on the recruitment process
- Own the full recruitment lifecycle from job posting to offer negotiation, ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience at every step
- Leverage recruitment metrics and data to optimize the hiring process, identify trends, and make informed decisions that improve quality of hire and time to fill
- Shape and contribute to our employer branding efforts by creating compelling job descriptions, promoting our company culture, and enhancing our presence on social media and job boards
- Drive hiring velocity across a growing sales org, managing multiple open roles simultaneously without compromising on quality
Our take
AI-assisted writing tools have taken off over recent years. With the likes of high-exposure company Grammarly accelerating adoption of such tools, a flurry of startups have appeared to offer their own takes. WRITER’s angle is to leverage AI as a means of standardizing and scaling both content and communications for business teams. The tool offers auto filling and inline suggestions that keep content aligned with pre-determined company language and style guides.
This branded fine-tuning function distinguishes it from full copy-generation competitors, as well as from Grammarly itself, which is a more generalist copyediting tool. It subsequently caters to major enterprise clients looking to maintain standards across multiple and sprawling teams, and the company has managed to net major clients like Deloitte, Twitter, UiPath, and Accenture.
While AI-related buzz remains solidly around generative AI's like ChatGPT and Bard, WRITER's narrow target market - in which it has already found success - supplies plenty of scope to grow, as AI copyediting tools look set to rapidly become content industry standard. With continued new launches and updates to its offerings, as well as an impressive $200 million Series C awarded in 2024, the company is well-placed for further success.
