We're looking for a Platform Engineer with proven experience in modern software delivery who loves crafting efficient, flexible and low friction systems to manage workloads at a global scale. Strong knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, deployment, and operations
Experience with Kubernetes development including operators and controllers
Demonstrated work with a modern object-oriented programming language, preferably Go
5+ years of experience with Linux systems tooling and troubleshooting
Proven ability to mentor Junior Members of the team
Ability to support engineers with solving problems in integrating their systems with core Kubernetes components
Experience integrating with globally distributed large scale Private and Public Cloud Environments
Experience with Cluster API (CAPI) strongly preferred
Proven knowledge in working with bare metal systems on premise or in hybrid cloud environments
Deep understanding of IAC, both design and implementation
Strong communication skills
Experience with collaboration in a distributed team across multiple timezones
High energy, driven to positively impact the business with customer-first thinking
Must be self starter who understands that ownership means distributing the knowledge of your work so that everyone benefits
Being a Contributor to Open Source Software is a plus
Bonus points for understanding the concepts forwarded by the OCM CNCF project

What the job involves

Designing and building APIs to support the Kubernetes platform used for provisioning and managing Kubernetes clusters
Development and Implementation of our internal Kubernetes platform
Improving Reliability, Performance and Feature Set of the Kubernetes platform based on internal customer needs
Identifying and diagnosing issues in deployments together with software development teams

Our take

PlayStation faces competition in its field from the likes of Microsoft, with its Xbox range, and PC gaming, which has been becoming more popular in recent years. Regardless, PlayStation shows no signs of slowing down. The upcoming implementation of in-game ads in free games looks to significantly increase revenue, and the wider PlayStation gaming experience also appears to be evolving from plans to launch live service games in upcoming years.
