More and more young people don't know how to cook, and presume that cooking healthy and delicious food is too expensive, time-consuming and difficult. Mob solves that problem by creating and sharing easy, affordable and inventive recipes.
Mob's founder, Ben Lebus, launched the company after realising that many of his fellow students couldn't cook. Since then, the company has benefited from this gap in the market, and now boasts an impressive social media following (nearly a million followers on Instagram alone). This has allowed Mob to grow rapidly, and, more recently, to rebrand. The company has diversified into areas such as talent management and publishing.
Mob's sleek and characterful output, and its strong focus on reaching young audiences, has allowed it to successfully compete with established social media recipe pages such as Tasty. The company has also invested heavily in supporting up-and-coming UK food talent, and this sort of adaptability and innovation will help Mob to scale further and reach even wider audiences.
