Junior Data Analyst, HeliosX

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field
• 6 - 12 months of experience in a data governance, data management, or data analysis role
• Experience using SQL to extract data
• Exposure to Data Governance projects (Data mapping and classification, data catalogues, business glossaries)
• Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g. Metabase, Amplitude, Snowflake, GA, Tableau, Power BI) and Database (e.g SnowFlake, BigQuery, Amazon Redshift)

• The ideal candidate, under the guidance of the team, will execute a range of data governance activities, ensuring that stakeholders across the organization have access to accurate, consistent, and dependable insights
• Serve as the initial point of contact for data governance-related inquiries and issues
• Execute data governance tasks, which includes:
• Adapting and correcting reports and dashboards impacted by changed/deprecated fields
• Management of the official collection reports and folder structure
• Organisation and management of field definitions and common metrics
• Manage access permissions to reports and dashboards for stakeholders
• Archive redundant reports and ensuring best practice is followed in report management
• Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to monitor data quality and work with relevant teams to resolve data inconsistencies and errors
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to data definitions, standards, and processes on Confluence
• Provide training and support to stakeholders on data governance best practices and tools
• Assist in the creation of user guides and training materials to improve data literacy across the organisation
• Work closely with senior business analysts to support their analytical needs by providing clean, reliable data
• Contribute to the development of reports and dashboards by ensuring the accuracy and availability of underlying data
• Answer simple ad-hoc reporting requests from Service Desk tickets
• Support with simple analytics requests: pointing stakeholders to the right reports & dashboards, extracting data, answering questions about metrics definitions, data accuracy
• Conduct regular data checks to ensure data integrity and reliability across all business systems
• Implement and manage data validation rules and tools to minimise errors and discrepancies
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure the proper implementation of data quality controls
