Role
Who you are
- 5+ years proven experience creating, executing, and leading social media and creator marketing in a rapid growth environment
- Proven success turning social media and creator partnerships into a growth channel for a consumer company (preferably a subscription service like Sunnyside). We expect you to be able to walk us step by step through the playbook that you’d apply to Sunnyside to get started
- Strong understanding and eye for social content and brand creative
- Deep knowledge and expertise of social media platforms
- Ability to deliver insights and points of view based on data
- Ability to oscillate between high-level strategy and day-to-day execution with a small, nimble team – you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty
- Experience using and managing affiliate software
- Ability and desire to work cross-functionally, take input from stakeholders
- Ability to collaborate and influence internally
- Ability to ideate and execute at a fast pace in order to seize reactive and/or trend-centric moments impactfully
- Excellent verbal, written and visual communications skills
- Excellent attention to detail
What the job involves
- Audience/member growth: Your most important KPI will be audience growth across social media platforms, prioritizing highly engaged, authentic relationships over vanity metrics. There are millions of people who want to cut back on their drinking. Your job is to find them, engage them, and ultimately convert them to paying Sunnyside subscribers
- Social media strategy: Develop and implement a social media strategy aligned with overall marketing and business objectives. This includes owning our corporate/branded accounts, nurturing the Sunnyside community across social platforms over time, and developing unique strategies that drive Sunnyside growth and awareness
- Creator strategy: Forge partnerships with creators who can make our brand shine bright. You have a unique ability to navigate the thousands of potential creators and influencers to find the ones that are going to best amplify our brand. You’ll design the creator programs and also ensure they have everything they need to be successful
- Content strategy & thought leadership: Develop a unique, thoughtful content strategy that distinguishes our brand as the leading mindful drinking platform in the market. A successful content strategy will fluctuate and change over time, but you’ll fine the thread that makes Sunnyside uniquely stand out, and aids in our rapid growth over the coming years
- Content creation: Although you’ll have the option to source and work with creators to drive content strategy, we fully expect you to create your own content with a level of curiosity, empathy and authority that helps move Sunnyside’s social presence forward rapidly. There’s a very good chance you may even become the face of Sunnyside on social media, connecting with our audience on a level we’ve yet to achieve in our previous efforts
- Brand partnerships: As you scale our social media presence, brands will no doubt contact Sunnyside for partnership and co-marketing opportunities. You’ll filter, navigate and develop these partnerships to drive the most growth and engagement while decreasing distraction and overhead
- Brand strategy: The Sunnyside brand and voice is foundational to our growth, leaning into authenticity and empathy. You’ll embody and maintain our brand pillars, while also developing and testing unique angles and tones to bring your own personality to our brand
- Reporting and analytics: You’ll develop and own a comprehensive set of reporting to ensure the social media and creator strategy is on track. You’ll be able to share these results at a variety of intervals, but most important will be your ability to summarize your work at an executive level to ensure alignment on investment and ROI
- Budget management: When paid creator relationships are necessary, you’ll be able to manage and prioritize budgets, and report on their return on investment in a consistent, understandable manner
- Help us take Sunnyside to the next level of growth by powering new growth channels!
