What the job involves
- Manage the operational aspects of Europe based projects at hospitals as well as regional delivery programs
- You will ensure that all project work is completed in accordance with SOPs, policies and practices as well as within budget
- Create, track and report on project timelines using the approved project application
- Produce and distribute status, tracking and financial reports for internal and external team members and senior management
- Responsibility for financial reporting on the project including tracking deliverables and invoicing
- May participate in proposal development and sales/proposal presentations
- Monitor and coordinate efforts of cross-functional project teams and project resources within and outside the organization
- Meet with team members on a regular basis regarding project tasks to ensure project milestones are met
- Lead problem solving and resolution efforts
- Manage project budgets and approval of invoices
- Produce and distribute reports and presentation materials
- Provide input into project proposals and RFPs
- Train and mentor junior Project Manager staff
- Partner with other Project Managers to develop and implement process improvements
- Prepare and present project information at internal and external meetings
- Ensure that work is conducted in compliance with standard processes, policies and procedures and meets project timeline metrics

Formed from a merger between IMS Health and Quintiles, it has over 40 years of experience in the sector and has grown to become one of the world’s largest contract research organisations, with a network spanning more than 100 countries.
Since its founding, IQVIA has outperformed the market, with is main concerns being in the expansion of biosimilar firms such as Humira which are able to provide generic drugs from existing medications, without needing further data analysis. With global medicine spend on track to reach £1.3 trillion by 2025, IQVIA is focusing its efforts on oncology and immunology, the most profitable sectors in pharmaceutical development. It is also building out its technological infrastructure, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence. While it is frank about the limitations of this technology within the sector, it is able to greatly augment the data-handling capabilities of health science teams. Development in this sector is key to IQVIA’s growth plans for 2025 and beyond, which is on track with 2023-24 seeing a massive increase in company share value.
