Role
Who you are
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Excellent communication, ownership and collaboration skills. The working language is English
- Expertise in frontend development, ideally with Angular and TypeScript. Experience with other modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries (such as React) is also highly valued
- Backend experience using Java and Spring Boot, and relational databases
- Strong experience in creating and maintaining automated tests for frontend code bases. Using frameworks such as Jasmine/Karma or Jest, and end-to-end frameworks such as Cypress or Playwright
- Demonstrated ability to perform high‑quality, constructive code reviews, providing clear feedback on design, readability, testability and security
- Track record of automation and efficiency improvements
- Experience with Docker (containers) and cloud environments, preferably GCP
- Knowledge of DevOps principles and tools
Desirable
- Familiarity with reliability engineering and incident response processes
- Knowledge of web security best practices
- Experience with feature flagging, A/B testing and progressive delivery
- Prior involvement in architectural design and domain‑driven design (DDD)
- Ability to implement and maintain accessibility standards (for example, WCAG) across frontend solutions
- Experience working in a remotely distributed team
What the job involves
- This is a hands-on role where you’ll contribute across the stack, help solve real production challenges and shape systems that directly impact our clients and users
Application process
- Screening call - Intro call with the hiring manager, where we will discuss the opportunity and what you are looking for, as well as your experience. We will also touch on some technical topics. (45 minutes)
- Technical interview - Conducted by two senior engineers, we will tackle a couple of technical challenges. (90 minutes)
- Final interview - A call with the CPTO. (45 minutes)

Neonomics is here to power open banking. It does so by supplying solutions for personal finance, plus enabling finance businesses to provide these solutions to their customers. Its offerings include open banking payments, AI-powered finance planning, and an API which enables direct bank payments to be added into apps or websites.
The company has done well so far, and has secured custom from businesses including Worldline, Kivra and Link Mobility. Having expanded beyond its native Norway to serve the rest of the Nordics - as well as the UK and other European regions - Neonomics is already well on its way to achieving its goal of powering cutting-edge finance across Europe.
