What the job involves
- Within Roamler Retail we are looking for a strategic and commercial Business Development Director with proven successful experience within Retail to strengthen the relationship with our most important customers
- Roamler is growing fast, but our ambition goes further. The commercial, driven Business Development Manager therefore plays an important role in achieving our ambitious objectives
- As a Business Development Director, you are responsible for maintaining and expanding our business with our strategic customers by partnering with senior stakeholders in the world's leading FMCG companies to help them achieve their growth and profitability targets
- You not only look at our current customers, but you also draw on your own network and find new opportunities in other ways
- Identifying and sitting down with a senior leader is often the first step
- Step two is where the challenge lies: identifying how to best use Roamler's technology to deliver a superior return on investment
- Attract new customers by partnering with senior stakeholders in the world's leading FMCG companies to help them identify growth opportunities and capture them more efficiently using Roamler's technology
- Develop existing customers by building client relationships and becoming their go-to trusted advisor on the next generation of retail execution; identify the most successful use cases and scale them into programs
- Negotiate large and complex contracts profitably. Run a healthy P&L with a strong focus on marginal contribution
- Develop and execute a growth strategy for all of our European markets, partnering with local key account managers to deliver growth
- Mentor more junior account managers and help them identify growth opportunities

Users are recruited on a mobile app and are matched to ‘tasks’ for various companies. The company has become a European leader in this space, performing tasks for the biggest FMCG manufacturers, consumer brands, PCGs and retail chains.
The company has also opened its platform to independent professionals who perform installations, maintenance and repair for clients such as Eneco, Ring and ANWB. Roamler is continuing to expand its services internationally, collecting positive case studies from its growing client list.
