Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in law, business, or a related field
- An advanced degree or certification in contract management is a plus
- 5+ years of experience in contracts management, review, negotiation and processing
- Excellent writing, communication, and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in contract management software
- Demonstrated competency in following up with contracting parties, time and task management, maintaining sense of urgency, and organization skills
- Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with contract management software and tools
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
What the job involves
- The Senior Contracts Administrator will be the first point of contact for the review and execution of various legal contracts (NDAs, vendor and customer agreements)
- Key responsibilities include initial intake and continuing review/negotiation of legal contracts, tracking of all legal documents through execution, working with the company's CLM, and maintaining the contractual records and database
- The Contracts Manager collaborates with various departments to mitigate risks, optimize contract terms, and support the organization's goals
- Analyze provisions in contracts, including terms and conditions, to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations and company policies and procedures
- Coordinate additional review, as needed, with the legal team
- Monitor signed contracts on an ongoing basis
- Maintain database for the contract management system
- Provide contacts support for all departments
- Collaborate and communicate with the internal and external legal teams
- Facilitate contract negotiations, including amendments and changes to existing agreements
- Work with relevant stakeholders to develop strategies for mitigating risks and enhancing contract terms
- Perform periodic audits of existing contracts to ensure ongoing compliance and identify areas for improvement
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and operations, to facilitate effective communication and collaboration
- Provide guidance and training to internal teams on contract-related matters
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements within the contracts management function
- Implement best practices and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
