Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in building scalable automation frameworks, strong programming skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality software in fast-paced, agile environments
- 6+ years of experience in QA with strong focus on test automation
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript
- Hands-on experience with automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium
- Experience in API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Karate
- Strong understanding of test frameworks (TestNG, JUnit, Mocha, etc.)
- Experience working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong ownership and accountability
- Ability to work independently and lead initiatives
- Detail-oriented with a quality-first mindset
Desirable
- Experience in performance testing (JMeter, Gatling, etc.)
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
What the job involves
- We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer (QA) to drive test automation strategy, design, and execution across our products
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable test automation frameworks
- Build automated test scripts for UI, API, and backend services
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure quality across the SDLC
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and drive issues to closure
- Mentor junior QA engineers and establish best practices for automation
- Continuously improve test coverage, efficiency, and execution time
- Participate in design reviews and provide inputs from a quality perspective
