Who you are
- The ideal candidate has extensive experience in a B2B product or customer marketing role (optimally in the Payments, Banking or SaaS industry) with a track record of delivering revenue driving go-to-market programs in collaboration with local and global senior stakeholders. You motivate yourself and others to deliver results, with minimal supervision
- 2 - 7 years of experience in B2B product/customer marketing, ideally within the fintech or SaaS sectors
- Passionate about continuously testing and learning new approaches, identifying winning strategies, and scaling them effectively
- A proven track record of success in a fast-paced company within a changing market, demonstrating adaptability and the ability to overcome challenges
- A customer-focused problem solver with excellent research and analytical skills, possessing a deep understanding of customer needs, challenges, and desired outcomes
- Strategic, commercial, and creative thinker who understands the product, thinks commercially, and brings innovative marketing ideas to life cohesively
- Proven track record of managing and executing global projects with measurable results
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for various audiences
- Self-motivated with a hands-on approach and the ability to meet deadlines
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken

What the job involves
- Adyen is looking for a market-oriented, proactive and commercially minded Product Marketing Manager. You will be part of a dynamic team that doesn’t limit itself to marketing products.
- The Adyen Product Marketing team’s primary role is to empower the regional commercial & marketing teams to execute revenue growth initiatives in line with the commercial strategy. This is a global role, where you will report to the Product Marketing Lead for one of our business units
- In this role you will be working in a multidisciplinary team (3-5 people) composed of Product Marketing Managers working together to support our 20+ local markets around the world
- Together you will be articulating and packaging our unique value to our SaaS target market verticals. You will be responsible for driving well-executed product launches, go-to-market playbooks and sales enablement that effectively promotes our solutions, drives demand and ultimately contributes to revenue growth
- Go-to-Market playbooks: Equip the commercial teams with ready to localize playbooks and campaigns for different target markets
- Product launches: Lead strategic product launch programs from start to finish, driving progress through effectively coordinating different workstreams and stakeholder groups
- Customer Insight: Act as the voice of our customers by leveraging market research, competitive analysis, and local insights to inform product positioning and identify growth opportunities
- Create compelling content: Develop a wide range of marketing materials, including website copy, blog posts, case studies, white papers, presentations, and sales enablement tools
- Enable sales and partner teams: Develop and deliver training, tools, and resources to equip them with the knowledge and materials needed to effectively sell and promote Adyen's products
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with global and regional teams across Product, Marketing, and Sales to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and execution
Our take
Adyen has been one of the most successful businesses in Europe over the last decade. When it went public in 2018 at a valuation of €7bn, it raised over €1bn and its share price popped on the first day, resulting in a valuation of €14bn. Its valuation has continued to climb by the billions.
Adyen competes with large players like PayPal, as well as outsized startups like Stripe, to power payments and provide other infrastructure to conduct digital transactions. Disrupters in the field have been buoyed by a strong rise in eCommerce activity, where some or all of a transaction by a customer is made either online or by mobile.
Adyen has been one of the companies riding the wave by helping to reduce the friction between a company choosing to take payments online, and actually being able to do it. That can take multiple steps and agreements across numerous countries — Adyen’s pitch is that it essentially handles all of it in the backend as a service for its users. Notable partners have included Autocanteen, a touchless self-checkout solution for the hospitality industry, and BILL, a small business-focused fintech platform.
