Data Engineer, Stream

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a data engineering role, with a proven track record of setting up and improving data infrastructure
• Strong engineering background, that also includes IT infrastructure, business intelligence, or advanced analytics development
• Experience in data warehouse design and data processing tools
• Experience in data pipeline design, both batch and streaming
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Must be able to work on-site in Amsterdam 3 days per week, with flexibility for remote work on other days

Desirable

• We are seeking an experienced Data engineer to lead our data infrastructure initiative, out of our European headquarters in Amsterdam
• This role is pivotal in shaping our data strategy, driving business insights, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization
• As a key member of our team, you will report to our Chief Revenue Officer and collaborate closely with engineering to create a robust data infrastructure, ensuring a strong foundation for BI reporting and analytics
• Partner with engineering to create and maintain a scalable and reliable data infrastructure with the end goal of supporting robust BI reporting
• Introduce new tools and workflows, and improve existing ones to make data processing and analysis easier and faster (we currently use CockroachDB/Postgres, AWS, Redis, Kafka, BigQuery, and Looker)
• Design, integrate, and document technical components to grow our data platform
• Investigate data problems, clean the data and continuously optimize data quality
• Ensure data systems are optimized for speed and efficiency to drive business decisions
