AI/Operations Manager, Connectd

• 3–5 years in an operations role, ideally in a fast-growing tech, SaaS or marketplace business
• A track record of owning a roadmap and making hard prioritisation calls, not just delivering a list someone else wrote
• Excellent communication: you can explain trade-offs to senior leaders and frontline teams alike
• An AI-first attitude, backed by hands-on use of AI tools to solve real operational problems
• Experience managing people, or a clear readiness to step into line management
• Strong judgement on cost, speed and quality, with the confidence to choose between them

Desirable

• The Operations Manager decides what Connectd's operations team works on, and makes sure every project delivers real impact. You will own the operations roadmap end to end: choosing which projects get done, in what order, and how
• This is not a ticket-taking role. You will weigh big strategic projects against the steady flow of reactive BAU requests, and make the call. You will work with every team in the business to understand what they need, then pick the most effective, timely and affordable way to deliver it
• We want someone with an AI-first attitude, who reaches for AI where it builds better solutions and knows when it doesn't. You will also lead and grow an ambitious team
• Own the Roadmap: Have the final say on which operations projects get worked on, and in what order
• Build and maintain a clear, visible operations roadmap that links each project to business priorities
• Say no, or not yet, to work that won't move the needle, and explain why
• Own the Impact: Get the most impact out of every project, from scoping through to adoption
• Understand what each key stakeholder group needs: Sales, Account Management, Product, Tech, People and SMT
• Communicate plans, progress and trade-offs clearly so the business knows what's coming and why
• Measure what each project actually delivers, and use that to shape what comes next
• Choose the Right Solution: Draw on your operational experience to pick the most effective, timely and affordable fix for each problem
• Balance quick wins against longer-term builds, and buy versus build
• Build by example: Experience that allows for you to demonstrate complex builds and inspire the team to more deftly use emerging technologies and more thoughtful fixes
• Lead with an AI-First Mindset
• Look for places where AI can build better, more meaningful solutions, not just faster ones
• Know when AI is the right answer and when a simpler fix will do
• Help the wider business adopt AI tools and ways of working
• Lead and Grow the Team:
• Balance larger projects against reactive BAU requests so neither crowds out the other
• Line manage the operations team: support them, build their skills and grow their careers
• Set clear priorities, standards and ways of working for the team

• Apply on WTTJ
• Video interview with the COO and Talent & Culture Partner: this will be about operational experience, tech stack, builds, leadership, stakeholder management, etc and try to assess technical capacity for the role
• Task based interview with the COO and CTO: We'll provide three situations live in the interview, you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and to qualify each scenario before you discuss how you would approach potentially solving this problem and what you would be looking to measure as success. The first two scenario’s will be specific examples that have previously been on our roadmap, the final one will be generally about how we think about proliferating access and efficiency through AI
