Who you are
- You have 10+ total years of experience in Growth and at least 5 years of Growth Product experience at a B2B PLG SaaS startup
- Big Rock Prioritization: You’re innovative and develop game-changing ideas that have 10x impact on business performance
- Hybrid Business Model Expertise: You have experience navigating and optimizing B2C2B funnels where individual users evolve into team and enterprise accounts
- Revenue Growth Optimization: You drive monetization strategies, including upselling, cross-selling, and expanding initiatives
- Roadmap Development: You craft and execute growth roadmaps that balance high-impact initiatives with rapid experimenting
- Customer-Centric Design: You build user experiences that enhance activation, adoption, and retention while addressing pain points
- Growth Mindset: You identify growth opportunities across the customer lifecycle and prioritize initiatives that drive measurable impact
- Data-Driven Decision-Making: You analyze data to inform strategies and set clear, actionable goals
- Team Building: You have at least 2+ years of experience recruiting, mentoring, and managing high-performing growth product and marketing team
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: You work closely with GTM, product, and engineering teams to align goals and strategies
- Communication Skills: You clearly articulate campaign strategies, goals, and outcomes to stakeholders

What the job involves
- As a Director, Growth Product, you will drive and lead the Growth Product and Marketing strategy to improve product activation and adoption, unlocking the full potential of Superhuman's features for high-performing teams.
- Champion the creation of world-class growth product experiences that set a new industry standard and accelerate the Superhuman mission to transform how people work and communicate through AI-powered email
- Outcome #1: Make Superhuman the #1 AI-powered Email App for high-performing Teams through exceptional product activation and adoption experiences
- Identify and prioritize opportunities to drive impactful improvements across the customer experience that increases revenue growth, including website optimization, user and team signup, activation, adoption, referrals, and monetization
- Collaborate across GTM, Product, and Engineering teams to build programs that support the hybrid B2C2B business model, enabling individual self-serve users to convert to teams and enterprise accounts
- Create in-product experiences to increase product-qualified leads for sales by strategically partnering with demand gen, customer marketing, success, and sales teams
- Outcome #2: Rapidly and consistently deliver delightful and remarkable programs that drive teams retention and engagement
- Uphold and enhance Superhuman’s strong brand affinity by delivering delightful and memorable experiences that foster product evangelism and increase virality
- Champion customer feedback loops between GTM and product teams to inform the greater product roadmap
- Define and execute a balanced growth roadmap, combining transformative initiatives with smaller-scale experiments to drive retention and engagement
- Outcome #3: Build and lead a high-performing cross-functional organization of growth product and marketing experts
- Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of growth product managers, engineers, and marketers to achieve ambitious growth objectives
- Foster a high-performance, experimentation-friendly culture that supports rapid iteration and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with peer marketing and product leaders to ensure alignment on growth strategy and execution
- Lead the organization with clear prioritization, communication, and a commitment to Superhuman’s values
Our take
We spend a staggering upwards of 3 hours a day buried in our emails. The majority of us are used to legacy giants like Gmail or even Hotmail. Superhuman recognizes that our email UX could just be a lot more beautiful and efficient, and have integrated smart features like “unsend” so we never have to suffer the embarrassment of another typo.
Although standing out in a market of free services (they charge a $30 per month fee), Superhuman commanded a waiting list of over 250,000 during its beta testing phase.
With more than $100 million in overall funding from firms like Andreessen Horowitz and First Round Capital, Superhuman is setting trends in emerging enterprise software with both its design and go-to-market strategy. They’ve managed to steal an audience from the big players by giving users something beautiful and more streamlined to work with. Its 2024-released feature is a testament to this, which generates instant reply suggestions for emails that are smart, context-aware and efficient.
