Role
Who you are
- Deep understanding of public procurement policy and its macro/micro market implications, including the data standards, the key stakeholders, and economic impacts
- 3+ years of demonstrated success within a fast-paced, complex environment where you were responsible for developing a portfolio of research & content pieces (B2B SaaS experience a big plus)
- Existing relationships and network within the public sector procurement ecosystem, and confident in your ability to leverage those relationships for insights into market movement
- Data driven and analytical with an expert capability in interpreting complex datasets
- Self sufficient in executing a strategic vision, and proactive in foreseeing challenges in advance of execution, while always seek opportunities to improve a process
- Confident in ability to create short and long-form research digests and reports to share with the market
- Strong project management & organisational skills; able to multi-task to strict deadlines
- Excellent communication & collaboration skills to work closely with cross-functional teams
- Excellent proficiency in key tools to required for the role, including Excel/Sheets for reporting and analysis, Notion for project management, Webflow for web/report page creation
- Highly proficient English (written and spoken) essential

What the job involves
- As we gear up for scale, we’re looking for a highly motivated, proactive and analytical individual elevate our Research, Public Policy, and Content capabilities
- As an early Research, Public Policy, Content hire, you will be a driving force behind our short-term and long-term goals
- You will work closely with other teams across the business to bolster our mission, strengthen our market presence, fuel our go-to-market motions, and make Stotles synonymous with public sector on a global scale
- You’ll report directly to our Growth Lead to strategise, develop and execute on the company’s Research & Public Policy foundations
- Involvement in shaping our Research & Policy strategy aligned to the company's overall objectives
- Maintaining leading-edge knowledge of relevant policy, news and trade movements in our space, ensuring we’re first on relevant market movements that matter to our customers
- Based on the outcomes of your research, you will identify and manage complex projects in collaboration with multiple teams (across product and commercial)
- Digging deep in data - from both the market and our platform - to carry our deep research on key market issues and develop long-form and short-form content that drives awareness, education, and acquisition of new users
- Planning, organising and executing on a well-designed research & content roadmap that supports needs of our Commercial teams, ensuring our research and content initiatives are well aligned with customer demand and the government’s public procurement calendar
- Developing thought-leadership and policy-shaping opportunities, including speaking engagements and events, while creating partnership opportunities between Stotles and public sector market stakeholders
- Supporting senior leadership in research, policy knowledge, and content generation for the company’s broader geographic expansion (US/EU)
- Supporting Sales, Customer Success, & Growth Marketing teams with all research and policy needs as they arise

Our take
Stotles is aiming to break down the barriers to government contracting, so more firms can compete for public sector contracts, not just those with the right contacts.
They do this by using lots of government data to identify business opportunities in the public sector, and match them with the companies on their platform. The platform, which gets its name from Aristotle, enables suppliers to follow indicators, track potential contract renewals, monitor buyers, and monitor competitors.
The founders have been at the intersection of public and private sectors, at firms such as the World Economic Forum, Boston Consulting Group, and Bloomberg. They have experienced the pain of bidding for public work beforehand, which gave them the idea.
