To build a sustainable future for local agriculture.
While trillions of dollars are being spent on developing autonomous passenger vehicles, core industries, such as agriculture, construction, and manufacturing, haven’t been getting the same kind of attention. Agtonomy, a hybrid autonomy and tele-assist platform, turns tractors and other equipment into autonomous machines using cutting-edge software, enabling cost-saving remote modes of operation.
Agtonomy differs itself from its competition (like John Deere) by primarily meeting the needs of local farmers as opposed to big farms, and its autonomous vehicles will cost around $50,000 (a far cry from John Deere’s usual $500,000-$1 million price tag).
The company is focused on extending its team to accelerate agricultural innovation, helping to close the labor shortage gap while operating safely and sustainably. The company has a small fleet of electric vehicles that have been operating for the last year, and Agtonomy is planning a for commercial launch to happen by the end of 2023.
