What the job involves
- Blockdaemon is searching for a Director of Strategic Partnerships based in New York City to join our Team
- This is a multi-faceted role where you will be responsible for building our global partnerships, working closely with key strategy, product, sales, and other leaders to drive growth
- You will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of our most strategic partnerships that help Blockdaemon take our proposition to market and support its growth
- Strategic Partnership Development: Identify and cultivate the top 20 strategic partnerships that align with the company’s goals and objectives
- Develop and execute partnership strategies to enhance the company's market position and drive growth
- Partnership Strategy: Build a partnership strategy and operating framework with clarity and measurable goals
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, including technology firms, financial institutions, developers, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders
- Ensure ongoing engagement and collaboration to maximize the value of each partnership
- Negotiation and Contract Management: Lead negotiations and manage the contractual aspects of partnership agreements
- Ensure mutually beneficial terms and conditions that support the company's strategic goals
- Ecosystem Expansion: Work closely with the product, engineering, and marketing teams to integrate partner solutions and expand the company’s ecosystem
- Identify opportunities for joint ventures, co-development, and co-marketing initiatives
- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify potential partners and assess the competitive landscape
- Analyze trends and emerging technologies to inform partnership strategies and identify new opportunities
- Thought Leadership: Represent the company at industry conferences, events, and meetings
Our take
The idea for Blockdaemon originated when its founder ran Ethereum nodes in 2017, and realized that doing so was very difficult with the existing infrastructure at the time—none of the conventional cloud-formation tools available in the market could cater to blockchain. This idea grew into what is now the Blockdaemon platform.
The company offers node operations and infrastructure tooling for blockchain projects across their life-cycle: from testing to clusters for exchanges/custodians, and finally APIs for developers. Blockdaemon’s node management platform helps auto-scale blockchain networks securely with enhanced monitoring, APIs, back-up systems and more. It is able to maintain blockchain infrastructure across 40+ networks.
Blockdaemon is continually seeking ways to add value to the industry as a whole: its recent acquisition of Gem, a company which offers cryptocurrency API-related services, will allow Blockdaemon to immediately generate transaction-based revenue. Recent investment funding will also be put towards the development of its services, ensuring its platform is optimized for users.
