What the job involves
- Your mission is to be a force multiplier for our Founder/CEO, Pari. As a solo founder, his responsiblities span the whole of the business, from Product to Go-to-Market
- You’ll help maximize his time and focus, ensuring energy goes where it matters most for the business. This role is for someone who loves being an exceptional EA. This is your craft and you take deep pride in it
- You'll be embedded at the core of a company built to shape the future. When humanity returns to the Moon or harnesses fusion power on Earth, Flow will have played a small but critical role—and so will you
- Being a trusted partner: building trust and credibility quickly
- Being his ‘second brain’: attend key meetings and proactively keep up to speed on the business. This is key as the founder will be splitting his time between the US (GTM) and UK (Engineering) office
- Anticipating needs and finding solutions: staying one step ahead to remove friction before it appears
- Owning his calendar: managing complex scheduling across time zones (UK/US) with speed and precision
- Managing the inbox: flagging what matters, drafting responses, and keeping on top of next-steps to make sure nothing gets dropped
- Handling logistics: complex travel with full itinerary support, meetings, prep, and follow-ups
- Amplifying the culture: organizing team events (dinners/off-sites) welcoming new joiners, and looking out for the team as we grow
- Helping the CEO and the Operations Lead set up US operations (office space, onboarding new joiners etc)
- Personal assistance: whether it’s scheduling appointments, or managing personal errands, you bring the same level of care and focus as you do to business operations
Our take
Engineering today is slow. Engineers waste time plugging equations into spreadsheets, rebuilding CAD models that break, and setting up simulations to test similar things over and over again - and this issue only gets worse as complexity is added. Flow Engineering is rebuilding the foundational tools that are used by developing powerful systems that automate the repetitive execution work, letting the computer do the heavy lifting.
Flow's product constitutes a single medium incorporating all the different tools that are needed to design, instead of engineers being forced to use unconnected and fragmented models. The idea is that the tools amplify and magnify engineers' creative abilities, instead of getting in the way.
Furthermore, Flow's product allows for easy collaboration and editing. Changes propagate throughout the entire system instantly, automatically rebuilding models, making the work for the engineers both more efficient and more effective.
