Who you are

5–10 years of relevant experience in a reputable law firm, fintech, bank, or regulatory authority
Bar admittance in the Netherlands or Germany
In-depth understanding of EU and local regulatory frameworks (e.g. PSD2, CRD, CRR)
Strong track record of structuring and executing international financial transactions
Experience in credit products, including SME lending
Fluent in English; Dutch or German is a strong plus
Business-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-moving, tech innovative environment

What the job involves

We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join our expanding Team
Advise on financial regulatory frameworks including PSD2, CRD, and CRR, and ensure compliance across operations
Support and structure financial transactions, as well as credit product launches and changes
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including financing agreements, service contracts, outsourcing agreements, and partnership arrangements
Support teams in liaising with regulators and other authorities within the EU on licensing, reporting and other regulatory matters
Provide legal guidance during product development to ensure regulatory and product compliance
Collaborate with claims/operations/customer support/transaction monitoring teams
Participate in dispute resolution and advise on litigation strategy where needed
