  • 10+ years of software sales experience
  • 2+ years within SaaS
  • You have closed large enterprise opportunities with regularity
  • You are familiar with contracting processes, agreements, and can make recommendations on redlines
  • You are an excellent negotiator
  • You have solid skills in an enterprise sales process (CCS, Challenger, Solution Selling)
  • Solid understanding of what terms like API, SDK, and React mean
  • Excellent speaking, demo, presentation and writing skills
  • Personal drive to not just meet but blow out your quota

What the job involves

  • The Enterprise AE role is critical to the success of Stream’s GTM strategy, and we are accelerating our sales efforts by hiring an AE for our Enterprise team
  • The Enterprise AE is responsible for the full sales cycle from prospect to closing business and to retaining solid relationships with key customers over time
  • The Enterprise segmentation is based on the number of monthly active users or concurrent users our customers have, and your role is to drive the true enterprise space new logo acquisition in the assigned territory / vertical
  • Prospecting accounts and personas suitable to the Stream product portfolio
  • Engage with prospects on a value based methodology with intention to close business
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close - and retaining relationships with key customers
  • Partake in forecasting calls and remain in control of the sales cycles
  • Partake in 1:1 and team meetings with leadership and peers to allow knowledge sharing and team culture enhancement
  • Accurately enter, update, and maintain prospect information in CRM and other tools
  • Acquire new enterprise logo customers and help Stream grow
  • Own the Sales Cycle: Take charge of outbound prospecting and closing high-value enterprise deals, playing a critical role in Stream’s growth by consistently acquiring new customers
  • Grow Your Book of Business: Build and expand a portfolio of enterprise accounts, establishing long-term relationships while driving significant revenue growth
  • Excel in a Dynamic SaaS Environment: Hone your enterprise sales expertise, master advanced negotiation strategies, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance culture focused on delivering results

Our take

Every day, people all over the world communicate via in-app chats. However, chat and UX tools can take months to build and years to perfect. Stream solves this problem by allowing developers to build chat and activity streams into apps quickly and without hassle.

Having started out building APIs for activity feeds, Stream quickly moved into the lucrative chat market. Its customers now include household names such as Unilever, NBC Sports, and TaskRabbit, and it has seen funding from both big-name firms and startup CEOs - a clear indication of the company's broad appeal.

The company has lately been focussed on further developing its in-house technology, in order to fuel its continued growth in the coming years. It continues to enrich its Activity Feed, Chat SDK and 2022-released AI-based Moderation products, as well as developing Live Video capabilities, which it states clients have been interested in for some time.
