Who you are

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer with expertise in technologies such as Ruby on Rails, React, Swift and similar frameworks
5+ years of software development, preferably in a user facing product context
3+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails
Experience with React or other similar frameworks
Experience working closely across a variety of teams, including product management, design, and engineering
Deep understanding and application of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL

Desirable

Any relevant industry certifications or demonstrated continuing education
Experience building a multi sided marketplace
Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
Native iOS development experience:
Experience building sound clean code using Swift
Deep knowledge of iOS design and development patterns, building from the ground up
You have proficiency with MVVM architecture or equivalent
Experience with SwiftUI
Android development experience

What the job involves

At CareRev, you will play a critical role by extending and maintaining our applications and integrating multiple systems
This hands-on position requires seniority; you will be working closely with other senior engineering and product leaders to deliver the infrastructure necessary to transform healthcare for the better
Work closely with our engineering and product teams to build a cohesive experience for both our internal and external users
You will participate in the full software development life-cycle from designing, building, deploying, testing and releasing - significantly impacting our user experience

Our take

CareRev enables hospitals and other care facilities to access a pool of healthcare staff. The platform allows clients to post shifts to its internal resource pool, which can then be broadcasted to CareRev’s very own pool of professionals.

Staff can choose to take on shifts that suit their needs and schedule via an app on their phone, eliminating the need for a traditional agency. Unlike other healthcare labor marketplace platforms, CareRev offers health systems the technology to create their own hybrid marketplaces in which internal employees are given the option to claim shifts before they’re broadcasted externally.

As with any marketplace business, the ongoing challenge for CareRev will be balancing fluctuating healthcare demand with high-quality staff. Its had success so far though, and has bolstered its appeal with its AI-powered "Smart Rates" product, that helps users fill positions even more effectively than before.
