Who you are
- This individual is passionate about the Life Sciences space, specifically in strategic planning, and has proven experience in translating customer requirements and market trends into compelling, winning solutions
- Bachelor's Degree Req Master's Degree Pref
- 8-10 years of relevant experience
- In depth and long standing relationships with IQVIA commercial stakeholders, client companies or technology providers/partners, especially at a senior level
- Deep expertise in one practice area, yet has demonstrated capabilities across multiple practice areas
- Proven business development skills
- Has broad knowledge of the industry
- In-depth understanding of IQVIA data assets and IQVIA core offerings
- Works willingly and effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish team goals
- Knowledge and understanding of the fundamental processes of business, their interaction and the impact of external/internal influences on decision making, growth and decline

What the job involves
- This role is a recognized operational leader who delivers large projects or processes with minimal oversight from their manager.
- Role will focus on building and implementing novel strategy and standards for short-term results and long-term sustained competitive advantage, and may manage experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in assignments
- Sales Enablement is a new function in Tech & Enterprise Enablement to connect the many moving parts of our products, investments, and GTM activities.
- The Director works directly with a diverse array of IQVIA stakeholders to drive transformational change of our business, and ensure we make and exceed our commercial commitments. A successful candidate will:
- Understand functional strategy, markets, and goals; and translates those into proactive plans to enable successful achievement of business results
- Drive financial and operational support for the GMs and heads of Business Development in Tech & Enterprise Enablement on deal/proposal construction and pricing and pipeline management
- Drive and lead the effective implementation of operations initiatives such as next-generation customer mapping and relationship management, customer satisfaction programs, and capability / sales infrastructure projects
- Supports opportunity pursuits and management, using our analytics tools to understand and synthesize frequent reports on various cycles, reporting progress and highlighting potential risks on opportunities
- Proactively work to remove issues hindering the implementation of operations initiatives ensuring coordination between operations teams. They will also be responsible for coordinating operations activities with other functions including service, consulting, business lines and sales, as appropriate
- Additionally, the Director actively contributes to operations initiatives throughout the business making recommendations, highlighting how local issues should be addressed. As needed, they will provide analytical support and executive reports to the management teams on key potential issues and analysis and trends on specific areas

IQVIA is a world leader in analytics and clinical research in the life sciences sector. Formed from a merger between IMS Health and Quintiles, it has over 40 years of experience in the sector and has grown to become one of the world’s largest contract research organisations, with a network spanning more than 100 countries.
Since its founding, IQVIA has outperformed the market, with is main concerns being in the expansion of biosimilar firms such as Humira which are able to provide generic drugs from existing medications, without needing further data analysis. However IQVIA’s involvement in new areas of research are likely to more than offset this trend.
With global medicine spend on track to reach £1.3 trillion by 2025, IQVIA is focusing its efforts on oncology and immunology, the most profitable sectors in pharmaceutical development. It is also building out its technological infrastructure, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence. While it is frank about the limitations of this technology within the sector, it is able to greatly augment the data-handling capabilities of health science teams. Development in this sector is key to IQVIA’s growth plans for 2025 and beyond, which is on track with 2023-24 seeing a massive increase in company share value.
